Atlus USA sent QJ.NET an email containing new screenshots for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii video game Baroque. The game is being developed by Sting Entertainment and should have come out on March 18.

However, it seems like the companies behind it met several unexpected problems and that's why the release has been postponed to April 8. Originally, the title came out back in 1998 on Sega Saturn platform.

Baroque, for those who are not quite familiar with it, is a role playing game. The curious thing about it is that one way of moving forward into the game's story is to intentionally let your character die.

Despite it being an RPG, Sting Entertainment had mentioned before that it will also sport an FPS view aside from the usual view to give tribute to the original version. While waiting for more details regarding Baroque, just take a look at the screenshots below.

Well, it's a different, more experimental type of game, so I can understand a bad review. Thing is, if you've made an attempt to play the Saturn version, it's got some neat style and feel to it. Granted, it looked like DooM, but it's an RPG at the core. There's not a whole lot else that's like that, save for the Elder Scrolls series. I can see it becoming a cult favorite.
