Super Paper Mario logo - Image 1A recent press wire for Nintendo's Australia chapter reveals several bits of good news, at the forefront of which is the Wii's latest sales numbers, and a confirmed release date for Super Paper Mario.

Beginning with the first topic (skip to the last paragraph if you're after Paper Mario) Nintendo Australia was happy to report that their console had just hit the 100,000 mark, bringing it up to the title of the fastest selling console in the region.

"We are pleased that Wii has achieved this benchmark, but we are ecstatic that it attained this whilst also reaching new audiences and expanding the scope of our entire industry," said Rose Lappin, Director of Sales and Marketing, regarding the sales. The Wii console was earlier reported to have hit the 8 million mark in worldwide sales.

As for the news you've been waiting for - Nintendo Australia is letting the fans know that Super Paper Mario's Australian release is scheduled for this September, alongside Super Swing Golf PANGYA. Now, in case this date seems  far off for the console owners, other games that are expected to land earlier are Resident Evil 4 on July 5, and Mario Party 8 on July 19.

When is the UK gonna get a release date? People over here are losing faith in the Wii because there's not enough quality games out. This games storms both Japan and America and we got Pirates of the carribean at the top of our charts which means people bought the dodgy game and then proceeded to take it back with much dissapointment...

We need more games like this one over here or else the PS3 is gonna win, mainly due to the region free its got.

Either that or release a freeloader for it so i can import.
