Aussies to get more Virtual Console titles

Getting nostalgicAfter a successful Wii launch in Australia, Nintendo isn't letting up with the announcements. Gamespot reports that the company yet again announced 10 more games that will be available for its Virtual Console service in Australia.

This will bring the total number of available games to 28. Nintendo will add new Virtual Console titles every Friday until the end of the year. The list will be update every Friday 10am Australian Eastern Standard Time.

The NES games will cost Aussies 500 Wii points, SNES games will cost them 800, and N64 (sixty-foooouuuurrr! ~sorry, been in YouTube a bit too much) will cost 1000 points. Sega Mega Drive, (that's Genesis for US folks) will cost around 800 points. Aussies will be able to purchase 2000 Wii points for AU$ 30.

Here's the schedule of the titles to be released:

Virtual Console games being made available on December 22

  • Donkey Kong Jr, NES
  • Soccer, NES
  • Tennis, NES
  • Space Harrier II, Sega Mega Drive
  • Toe Jam and Earl, Sega Mega Drive

Virtual Console games being made available on December 29

  • Sim City, SNES
  • Super Probotector, SNES
  • Super Castlevania IV, SNES
  • Baseball, NES
  • Ice Hockey, NES
