OFLC rates Mario Kart Wii for Australia; exact launch yet to be announced - Image 1Gamers based in Australia might be interested to find out that Mario Kart Wii has already been rated by the Office of Film and Literature Classification Board or OFLC.

This pretty much means that the game will soon be arriving on the Nintendo Wii console and i will be  much to the delight of Mario Kart fans in the Land Down Under.

If you're not familiar with the game, it's a racing game from Nintendo which features characters such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser among others. Veterans of the series will be pleased to know that the characters can jump once again, tracks from Mario Kart: Double Dash were added to the game, and there is also support for up to 12 players in online matches.

Unfortunately, the exact release date for Mario Kart Wii in Australia still hasn't been announced. On the other hand, North American and Japanese gamers can expect the title to hit their shores during Spring 2008. European fans, lastly, will get it in Q2 of 2008.

anything new?

This looks exactly the same as double dash, except for online support, which the DS version already has. Don't even get me started on that Wii wheel. It seems like some junk a company like pelican or someone would make. It doesn't even have pedals or anything to pivot off of. This is probably the closest thing to a racing game the Wii will get. Sad....

U lose again........

Nope ur wrong u know why? I will tell you why It looks like Double dash because they just used its engine to show it off at E3 dip**** theyll probably give that engine an overhaul before release and online has already confirmed to have more players than the DS game and that wheel knowin nintendo will be so much fun and will probably control fantastic! Not to mention it will have Motor cycles! which is a cool addition so yeah....not so sad afterall.

racing

if you weren't so dumb you would know that Need for Speed: Prostreet is also for the wii if you had any common sense you would have know that oh wait you don't

.

Yes you are right there is port of Need for Speed on the Wii but like usual it is inferior to the XBOX 360 and PS3 versions with worse graphics and no online. I didn't care about this game anyway because it got poor reviews and there's many better ones to choose from (unless you have a Wii.)

psssh

Dude you don't have to use the Wheel!!! It's just an attachment! Also, it's pretty sad that you arrange your game playing lifestyle around what others say about games (Online Reviews).....

Wii Wheel

If you think the Wii Wheels ucks, you suck. Besides, you don't even have to use it and it comes free of charge with the game. Nintendo announced that at E3, if you weren't paying attention. And honestly, graphics aren't what makes a game. Halo 1 graphics suck compared to newer games and yet it is still one of the most loved games out there (Not including the later Halo titles). Online reviews don't count as a source. Your opinion is the only source that matters. If you rely on the internet to tell you which games are and are not good, you cannot call yourself a true gamer.
