Trauma CenterIn response to some details recently revealed by Japanese magazine Famitsu, Atlus has issued a press statement. Atlus confirmed that Trauma Center: Second Opinion will indeed be a North American Wii launch title. But they also took the opportunity to emphasize that Second Opinion will not just be an direct port of the DS original, Trauma Center - Under The Knife.

Instead, it's going to be a greatly enhanced new game, fully supporting the Wiimote with a new control scheme. The game will feature completely new operation types, surgical implements, a new playable character with his own new missions, multiple difficulty modes as well as totally revamped visuals and animation.

Additionally, there will be a generous heap of voice acting present in the game, not only as a superficial gimmick, but to "enhance the drama and punctuate the action". Atlus has promised to deliver even more gameplay details as the Wii launch - and with that, the release of Trauma Center: Second Opinion draws closer.

Since its not a port, it is evidently a remake. And considering how many changes there are as well as having to redo everything, they should have just done a sequel.

The voice acting should be nice though, as anyone who has ever watched a medical drama would understand.
