Analyst Predicts New Zelda Wii Title in 2009 - Image 1Analysts have a tendency to be wrong on occasion, but sometimes they're dead right. I hope this one's the right kind.

Analyst Colin Sebastian expects Nintendo to release a new Zelda game by next year. You'd better be right Sebastian, or else your New Year's resolution should be not to get people's hopes up.

The Zelda game popped up in his list of titles that would be big next year, which also included sure-fire titles like Resident Evil 5 and StarCraft II. Also in his list is a new Princess Peach game.

Not that I don't want to see a new Zelda game, but I'm skeptical since Shigeru Miyamoto himself said that their core games in development won't be completed for two or three more years. Zelda could be the exception though, who knows?

» They better be...

Nintendo has a ***** load of making up to do for its hard core fans for the crap they pulled this year.

Or else I see Nintendo not doing so well this year. By now, all the people that want a Wii should have it. The 360 is the cheapest console out right now, so it is more likely an option. The PS3 will eventually be able to compete, and I hope it does. I didn't get a PS3 to let it catch dust. And the same goes for my Wii.

LOL

i thought QJ already knew that they were.

QJ were the ones that told us that nintendo announced that they had already started to make 2 new zelda games, 1 for wii and 1 for ds. the had apparently "anounced it just after the E3 event."

» Yep

Nintendo did announce a new Zelda game. I was actually the one who wrote that article, and I wrote a follow up one on it that I linked to in this article. It\\\\\\\'s in this sentence here \\\\\\\"Not that I don\\\\\\\'t want to see a new Zelda game, but I\\\\\\\'m skeptical since Shigeru Miyamoto himself said that their core games in development won\\\\\\\'t be completed for two or three more years.\\\\\\\"

The news here isn\'t that the Zelda game exists, it\'s that it\'s coming next year.

You don't really think people will stop buying the Wii? This year they weren't any good games yet people were dumb enough to buy more Wii consoles then PS3 and Xbox 360 combined.

» Finally

I have a reason to get the Wii. Wii is fun when you're with people but not alone. Wii games aren't attractive for real gamers and Zelda is a classic so it'll be a hit. This is my last console to get like last generation and Nintendo never disappoints.

» noooo!!!!

I hope that the new zelda is not for this Generation .I want it for the next Generation because the Wii is not that good for me.

» Then I suppose....

All the zelda games in ALL older gen were not good for you
