After killing hundreds of TVs, Wiimote levels up

The new one is on the left.

In the right hands, the Wiimote can be a powerful tool for gaming fun and general virtual weirdness. In the wrong hands, the Wiimote has the power to slash throats, cut fingers and skewer televisions with unerring accuracy.

A horde of Level 1 remotes have slaughtered televisions aplenty, leaving many families bereft of any form of entertainment other than reading. As a result of these relentless attacks, the Wiimote has picked up enough experience to level up, making it stronger and marginally safer for the gaming populace.

*insert Final Fantasy victory song here*

Level 2 Wiimotes now have increased hitpoints, the result of acquiring thicker Wii Straps during the level up process. These stronger Wiimotes will currently find themselves in the urban jungle of Australia's game stores, but people should expect to see these strange new creatures in their own home countries in the near future.

While we wait for these stronger remotes to reach our own shores, make sure you keep your Wiimote firmly in check. Remember, don't let go of the Wiimote, don't overextend, keep the strap on, and for God's sake, do not play with your Wiimote within visible distance of the Space Needle.

What is the point of this article? Is this a mod? Third-Party? Will my straps be replaced for free?
