As we all know, both Activision and Red Octane have already sent out to customers most, if not all, replacement discs for the defective copies of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Wii (also on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS2 and PC).

It seems, however, that the two companies are doing more to compensate for the recent problem. One staffer from Wiinintendo said that he just got a brown box from the developer and publisher containing a face plate for the Wii version of the GH guitar peripheral.

According to the staffer, the box was accompanied by a note stating that this is to show their appreciation for the patience demonstrated by fans. Part of the note reads:

You recently received a Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock Wii replacement disc. To show our appreciation for your patience during the re-mastering and manufacturing phase of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the Wii, enclosed is a complimentary Guitar Hero faceplate from Activision/Red Octane.

Have you received your box yet? Does the faceplate in the box similar to the one that's pictured above? If not, tell us about your brown box via the comment section below.
