Activision never saying never to GoldenEye 007 on PS3/Xbox 360

GoldenEye 007 may be Wii exclusive, but this does not mean that it will never find its way on other consoles. This was the optimistic news revealed by Activision's Julian Widdows, when asked if we will ever wake up to find the game on the PS3 and/or on the Xbox 360.

Said Widdows, "We would really hope that everyone who wants to play it will go and play it this year. We've spent so much time and effort, personal time and effort... You know, kids have been born! There's a list of GoldenEye babies somewhere! This is the console we've made it for."

But as mentioned above, they're not totally closing their doors on the possibility of a port to other consoles. "Never say never," she said. "Who knows? Things happen, don't they, with big publishers? But for the time being it's all about the Wii, and that's really how we hope people will go and experience it, because that's how it's been built. It's not been built for the PS3 and Xbox 360, it's been built for this."

So if you're getting a copy of the game, enjoy it on the Wii, cos it was made for it. GoldenEye 007 comes out in November.

No wii graphics please, that system is still worse looking than some of the first Xbox games and they have had time to figure out how to make that hardware look good. I'll play it if its completely powered by the Quantum of Solace engine aka CoD:WaW engine.

"Activision never saying never to GoldenEye 007 on PS3/Xbox 360"

Ah ok I can wait (since you KEEP showing dual analog controls and reporters have not even touched wiimote conhtrols yet I THINK you worked a lot towards this archaic system) since visually it will look better...

DO NOT MOAN ABOUT LOW SALES YOU IDIOTS.

just a heads up for the coming months.

This just kind of proves it's a cash in, if they were to stay true to Golden Eye, they would've kept it exclusive to Nintendo, and would still be surveying around for what the fands actually want in remake rather a new Wii FPS...

This is not even remotely close to the original. Keep it for the Wii. The graphics will be horrible anyways.

"It's not been built for the PS3 and Xbox 360, it's been built for this."

So in other words, the graphics are horrible, the framerate will fluctuate, you'll need a Wavebird to even have a hope at handling the controls, the multiplayer will suck, there'll be no DLC in the future and it won't have anything in common with the original Goldeneye. Sign me up!
