Gamers will finally get the chance to rock out with five of the biggest names in the rock and roll industry as Activision introduces the next iteration in the Guitar Hero series with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.

The new game will feature some of the greatest hits from the titular band while showcasing the same brand of hardcore rhythm gameplay that the series is best known for. In a video trailer we've provided below, you can take a sneak peek at the virtual incarnation of the legendary rock band (a personal hat's off to the developers for a very apt depiction of lead vocalist Steven Tyler).

Guitar Hero: Aerosmith marks the fifth spinoff title in the series and is slated to be released this June. The game will be available for the Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii. While we're all waiting for the release of this hardcore rhythm title, you can enjoy the game's first official trailer by clicking on the embedded video below.

I had heard some rumors about this game having a mic and drums. Man I wish that was true then I would definitely buy this game

I think they squashed

that rumor. It was a way they worded it in an ad that got everyone excited. But it pretty much pertains to you SEEING the other band members playing while you do the guitar part. ... but correct me if I'm wrong if anybody has a link that verifies the contrary.

Second the squashing

Looking at the trailer only shows the guitar line. Looks alot better in terms of character movements. We won't have to see the same move performed at the end of the song anymore, I hope.
