"A very strong line up of games for Wii"

The Wii will come packaged with Wii Sports, so that's five sports games right there: Tennis, Golf, Bowling, Boxing, and Baseball. Plus, there will be "a very strong line up of games for Wii suiting all tastes" according to a Nintendo UK press release.

Yes, the graphics are nowhere near as "realistic" as the PS3's Virtua Tennis 3, but Monopoly, the best-selling commercial board game in the world doesn't have any computer graphics at all. Point: Nintendo isn't building a Wii empire on pixels - Nintendo's counting on play.

And what is there to play? Well, according to the same Nintendo UK press release, at the time of the UK launch (December 8) you'll already have the following choices:

Wii will launch in the UK on December 8 for around £ 179.99 or € 249 - about US$ 316 to 340 (depends on which bank you're talking to). Software will be available at selected retailers at the estimated retail price of £ 34.99 or £39.99, depending on the specific title - about US$ 65 (give or take a couple bucks).

None of those games are worth buying a Wii for. Whereas, the PS3 has a number of games worth the cost of entry. Wii will be dead in less than 18 months.

If u dont anything to add to the discussion of an article dont post up fanboy flaming. I think the multiplayer might not be that good. It is very hard to aim at a certain point when the screen is seperated into 4 squares. If u have a small tv this may be a problem. I think getting a fairly large tv for multiplayer would be a must. Also I wish they would have had online multiplayer. Just going to have to wait till next year.
