The QuickJump QuickList hits QJ tomorrow! |
Ó
Ah, lists.... Just about every site which caters to a niche has it. That's doubly true for sites that deal with games. Love them or hate 'em, we all read lists, so we decided to have a regular one of our own.Ours will be called the QuickJump QuickList and it'll appear in the Opinions and Analysis section of our blog every week starting tomorrow. It would cover anything and everything under the gaming sun ranging from light laundry lists to downright serious rankings.
More than a list that we thought up, we want as much reader participation as possible. Therefore, comments will be taken special note of. We want your input on the items on the lists that we put out and you guys can even suggest future topics for this section. If we gather enough substance on a suggested topic from you, our dear readers, it's likely that your ideas will appear on the list with due credit to you.
Towards the end of each edition of the column, we'll let you in on the topic of the next QuickList. That way, we can factor in your ideas for the next appearance. I'll join the comment discussion so we can talk about stuff you want to see.
Tomorrow's QuickList will give you the "Seven MGS4 Plot Twists We See Coming," but if you have any shots to fire now, we just might see eight, nine, maybe ten. See you all there!

good for u, now have a cookie and say something productive.
you n00bs! you have to summon captain planet in the first post! not that 'oumaigawd f1r$+ p0$+1" crap...
heres a cookie... go spam somewhere else
that post was meant for "my name" and "woot"
btw reap are you by any chance homosexual?
Uhhh, thanks for the comments, I guess. And the jumps. We still have time if you have NGS4 predictions.
Is this all that this site has become? a bunch of first posters and flamers all posting off topic responces? Well, let me be the first to brake the idiotic redundancy. There needs to be more of an incentive for users to sign up and become more productive posters instead of constant stupidity from anonymous posters. Under each topic there needs to be a subscription to the topic and it's future releases as well as notices to common topics that one is subscribed to. Example, I subscribe to all of DAX topics well when ever becus25 releases a new CFW I should be notified about it and be able to click ignore or subscribe to "like topics". If there were more signed up members, they'd be far less first posters, flamers and Cpt. Planets posting stupid remarks. By the way, I am a signed up member but every time I try to log in, it states "Wrong user name or password." I post in the tech forums here and can log in their, just not in these posts, that needs to be changed. As far as Jumps are concerned I don't think it will make much of a differance while you have anonymous poster jumping posts they really are not interested in. I have seen topics jumped alot where everybody hated the topic and had nothing on topic or good to say about the topic. Once you lock the membership down and do away with anonymity, then it's a good idea to start working on the jumping of topics issue. As it sits right now, the flamers and first posters not to forget off topic and capt planets are the main reason your losing good productive posters because they are tired of dealing with the stupidity of the anonymous cowards. Once this is all done, you will then find that QJ will become more populare with a better community of sensible posters.
I'm the first on topic poster. Look at how many jumps this topic has yet nothing productive aside from my comments. Anonymous posters needs to be locked out. Only members should be allowed to post, period. The jumping topic is a non topic till this issue gets fixed, then and only then the jumping of posts should be taken into consideration.
to know if you read my posts and agree. At least reply once more to let me know I'm not wasting my time caring about the future of QJ Glen D. Makes perfect sense to me, how about you?
Also anyone below the age of 21 should not be alowed onto the website, there is a lot of bad word used and sexual behaviour not intended to be viewed by minors. I would just like to say well dont to the QJ staff, you run a very good sexy website. Love to you all mwahh xxx
Dude, sorry to keep you waiting. I ckocked out for a bit to catch some air. About your comments, I can't agree with you more than I do now. I'm not against first post celebrators or anything, but I also feel that the comments can be a bit more topic-oriented. We try to do our best to keep foul posts out, but sometimes comment volume does get a bit overwhelming. But we'll improve on that aspect, I assure you. About your other suffestions, I'll tell you what, I'll bring it up with the rest of the staff and we'll see what we can do. We appreciate the thoughts you aired, really. By the way, are you an MGS fan? What games are you currently into?
The QuickList idea sounds great, but If there was a ban on people aged below 21, I wouldn't be able to read it. I'm 16, and I check QJ every day. Sure, I often find swearing in there, but I live with it, because I read the actual articles themselves, then if I can bear it, the comments. People should have the freedom to read these, even if there is swearing.
sorry, we can't ban age groups. QJ is for everyone. We can all co-exist. The younger crowd brings a lot of energy to the table and we dig that. Just don't let things go outta hand. Have fun!
I didn't say anything about banning under 21, somebody used my name and made that post. Just like they used your name Glen D. home edition to post on your behalf. Can't even have a serious conversation here without these kids taking vengance out on the ones who really care. I'm about to dump this site anyway, to tired of the BS posters, I know of other sites where this is not an issue so I'd probably be happy there without all the BS posters to ruine every topic.
But what about all the sexual behaviour? It is surely not appropriate for minors to see/hear such a thing.
idiots

Go make your self look bad and stop trying to bash on thoughs who make sense and really care.
I have seen no arguing in this post yet so you are off topic and propably one of the said anonymous cowards previously spoken about.
That's probably the funniest thing that I've seen in a long time, and so totally true...
actually, that was me who posted as home edition. was just too lazy to sign in. anyway, i'll bring the issues that you guys raised to the people who make major decisions in the blog. I'll keep you posted.
Including removing all sexual content from the website? Or at least putting age restriction.
God! its unbelievable how many retards and morons exist to plague the internet and post their moronic comments without thought or regard. Reading comments on QJ can be a drag cos there are so many ppl making off topic and really offensive posts. BAN THEM ALL!!! BTW, I think the Quicklist is an excellent idea. Way to go, QJ
Thanks, dude. I'm still on a "feeling things out stage" with the QuickList, and you guys can do a lot with your comments to see what we can do to improve future editions. Regarding comments, I'll be meeting up with some of the site's higher-ups later. I'll bring all the concerns raised si we can deal woth this.
posts should only be for members and relate to the topic.
