Ó

Hey guys, we went live with a new build of our CMS today which now allows users to log in to the QJ.NET blogs, and also includes some other pretty cool features. In the interest of space, I'll just leave this small blurb as to not take up precious real estate on the blog, and you can read about the new site features at the "Full Article" link below.

Here is an overview of some of the changes in the new build today: (ones that affect you)

- Currently, anonymous comments are allowed on all blogs.
- You can now create an account on the QJ.NET blogs (click register in the upper righthand corner of the site).
- Once you are logged in to one blog, you are logged in to all blogs
- You can use your login to post comments or submit news
- Excessive swearing, racial comments, spam, excessive flaming, or any other generally offensive commenting can result in a ban whether you are logged in or anonymous. (1day to perma)

In next week's build, you will be able to use your login to post on our forums or download files from dl.qj.net as well. In future builds we will add the ability to "score" comments and gain "user rank" by having your comments scored up, along with a whole bunch of other cool comment features.

Also, our Xbox 360 blog will be moving over from the old Blogger.com CMS to our new one tomorrow, followed by PSP Updates on the 28th (tentative). So stay tuned!

We'll keep you posted, thanks for visiting QJ.NET!

Great Job!

"- You can now create an account on the QJ.NET blogs (click register in the upper righthand corner of the site). - Once you are logged in to one blog, you are logged in to all blogs" I think this is great, now we dont have to use blogger to post comments. : So I take it the Anonymous Comments will be disabled after every blog has the user logins enabled? Hopefully it will since the comments system will be easier to maintain and there will be no more "Anonymous Cowards" lol. Good Job QJ!

Good work!

Nice idea. Hopefully this will stop some people abusing the comments system. Just a suggestion, maybe some form of emoticons for the comments.
