Rumor: Sonic 4 coming this July, game also iPhone-bound

Earlier today Sega unveiled Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I. Confirmed target platforms for the 2.5D game were only  PS3, XBox 360, and Wii, but the game's official website includes an unrevealed at a fourth one. According to AGB, that fourth platform is the Apple iPhone. Furthermore, that "Summer" release allegedly points to July.

 

This'll be easier to explain with pictures. The one below is the locked version of the image showing the game's platforms. Notice the "???".

Accoridng to All Games Blog, this is how the unlocked version looks:

That pic above seems to be from the Sonic 4 website's assets folder. The locked version is still there, but I couldn't find the unlocked version. Either Sega has quickly pulled it or this is just another hoax job. Seems plausible though.

Sega's been increasing their App Store presence recently so an iPhone version's a good bet.

consoles only? and then XBLA ? this is some piece of shit, episode 1... tzz, dlc over dlc again, i hoped that sega will make a full and awesome game, not something like this.

I wish the "???" was "PC". ... But all indicates that it will be iPhone. .... Oh well, I will play it anyways on PC via Dolphin ^_^
