Winnydows has released an updated version of his XviD4PSP video file conversion tool for Windows PCs. XviD4PSP supports a wide range of video formats, supporting AVI, DIVX, and WMV as input files, and outputting a whole range of PSP-compatible files including PMP, PMP AVC, AVI, MP4 (AVC), and MP4 (PSP AVC). You can also convert normal PC videos into other formats too, all provided that you have AviSynth v2.56a and the .NET Framework 2.0 installed.

Both XviD4PSP v4.005 and v4.006 have been released since we last covered this great application, with version 4.006 including a small bug fix. Here's the changelog:

4.006 changes:
- Fixed "Index was outside the bounds of the array".

4.005 changes:
- AVI and MP4 output resolution doesn't change by default.
- If Resolution hasn't changed, crop & resize don't apply.
- For AVI %u0438 DIVX input set DirectShowSource decode by default (produce much better quality).
- Fixed unlocking of join button.
- Added dvr-ms files import, but audio lost sync.
- Changed dependency between codec and formats.
- Added XviD codec output.
- Enhanced AVI quality.
- lame_enc.dll updated to 3.96.1.
- After DVD encoding extracted tracks removed from temp folder.
- Fixed MP4 PSP creation.
- Fixed join of video files.
- Manual vob adding fixed.
- Fixed mp3 encoding. pmp_muxer don't exit anymore on invalid mp3.
- Optimised mencoder monitoring.
- Removed Mencoder AviSynth engine for MP4 files creation. Produce invalid mp4 and have low speed. x264 much better engine.
- Optimised AVS import.
- Added new HQ engine for DVD encoding. DGMPGDec. Produce very high quality, but need decrypted dvd.
- Added manual crop and black border correction.
- Added frame rate conversion option.

I've tried the past 3 versions and I can't play the PMP files with PMP MOD 2.01 or 1.02.

Is there something about the players or this program?

When I try to install I get a warning message of windows logo test saying it failed the compatibility with windows Xp and could make my Cpu unstable in the future.

Is it save for me to install, ..anyone?

Microsoft Framework 2.0

AviSynth 2.5.6(7)

Acm decoder for your input format.

DVD encoding lost sync.

"Index out" bug in "Safe Crop" + Aspect 16:9.

I got error now...cant mux the avi.

I used a .AVS file, it ran through the encoding procees fine but when it came to the muxing it give up..
