Wololo: HEN on 6.20 is 100% real!

Still having doubts on Total_Noob's 6.20 homebrew enabler for the PSP? Well, according to a recennt post from homebrew coder extraordinaire Wololo himself, Total_Noob's kernel exploit for firmware 6.20 is the real deal as he was able to beta test the exploit on his PSP 3000.

According to Wololo's post:

Total_Noob offered me to test his HEN on a PSP 3000. I gladly sacrificed my 5.03 PSP 3000, upgraded it to 6.20, and could confirm that this kernel exploit is true, and the HEN is already operational.

Total_Noob's 6.20 TN (HEN) is scheduled to arrive “before Christmas.”

i don't understand this statement fully. you sayin that a user of the latest m33 CFW, that's pretty much obsolete, going to whine about this exploit that could lead to other things? the only thing on my mind is if any psp model is able to run this no problem then more users can enjoy the homebrew scene with whats out now. there are a hell of a lot of programs out there too.

It was a joke... M33 fanboys are forever complaining about GEN builds and exploits and that new 'brew is being made to be GEN-exclusive and such, so I joked saying the only people that would have a problem with this HEN are the M33 fanboys... now that I've explained it, it sucks x_x --- and this exploit has been confirmed working on ALL PSP units, including the 3000 and the Go. Due to this, I'd assume the 2000 v3 also works as well.

GEN hasn't updated their CFW for a long time now, Dark Alex is out and now they can't steal his work any more.

That's how it shows how good they are.

Has nothing to do with firmware. If the game was patched on the PSN (the only way to get it on the Go) anyone who didn't have it before it was patched is screwed

Now we all have to be patient for a 6.31 HEN. Hats down to you sir TN. See the difference is, Wololo set the exploit in user mode but TN managed to get it in kernel mode which has more access and what not.

A Homebrew enabler does the same that ChickHEN does: Enables the PSP to run homebrew, using a KERNEL-MODE exploit. It DOES NOT enable the use of ISOs and Popsloader games. And it is NOT A CFW either.

What can be done to it is the SAME that can be done with ChickHEN: run a HOMEBREW that changes the firmware as long as the RAM on the PSP remains intact - like the CFWEnabler. What is being done is something like ChickHEN. It will take a little bit of patience until someone codes a CFWEnabler for this HEN.

Anyway, kudos for Total_Noob for the exploit, and thanks to Wololo for the confirmation - he's one of the most reliable sources on the PSP Scene.

No... You need Pandora to do that, and alas, Pandora does not work on 3000's or 2000v3's... the Go is right out, the damn thing is internal.

I remeber when the only thing they were doing was decorating the HBL. I got the dragonballz demo and was about to update my PSP because i thought all hope was lost. I was one click away from the 6.31 update confirmation. I said 'what the hell am i doing' and just exited out. So that means you should think about what you are doing and how it will turn out before you do it

got my psp1000 when they first came out :) starting to feel a 'lil dated now and analog stick is kinda messed up.. Great news though would like to see a CFW come out of this would be great!
