With keyblade in hand: Ven steps into Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep scans |
Ó
Here's another batch of scans from Famitsu China. Their recent issue ran a feature on Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, with (nooo, that's not Roxas!) Ven stepping into the limelight of their magazine spread.
If my eyes don't deceive me, the battle sequences shown in the scans are from Cinderella's world. Meanwhile, the last two screens include Aqua (the other playable character), Cinderella, and the Mirror (from Sleeping Beauty).
It's a pity, actually. Wish we could see the the full-page scans, and not just scans of some of the screens included in Famitsu's feature. We'll take what we can get though. Crushing enemies using a ball of yarn looks fun.

Sweet pictures! I wonder if this game is gonna to be short ?
Looking forward to this entry.. then the wait begins for Kingdom Hearts 3!!
I LOVE KINGDOM HEARTS!!!! 1st one was great. 2nd one was just plain awesome. This one will be the best of all! Perhaps finally a 10/10 for the psp?
The max a UMD seems to hold is 1.5 GB...judging by the graphics I'm giving it a 20 hour game because you have to level up and whatnot But this game will probably be okay unless they make the analog control work for this game
KHBbS will be both short... and long, actually. Well, I think it'll only be as short as you want it to be. Or as long as you want it to be too. No actual playtime hours were ever discussed, but one run through of the game could easily be anywhere between 5-10 hours (just my guess). Oh course, at this point, I have to clarify. "One run through" here means one "scenario". See, you get to choose which character you want to play, either Ven, Terra, or Aqua. So, it's kinda like (emphasis on "kinda") choosing Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine in the first Resident Evil game. Each scenario there played like 3-10hours, depending on whether you know where to go and what to do. Both Chris and Jill's scenarios would net you anywhere between 10-20hours in total. But back to Birth by Sleep, here's something which Testuya Nomura said before: "The game will have three scenarios, and you'll be able to play from which ever one you like. You'll even likely be able to stop mid way through and start a new scenario. [The main point of the story is to answer, 'Ven, who are you?]" So, in essence, the game could be "short" if you choose to follow just one scenario. But who'd wanna do that, right? To get most out of the game, you'd have to play through the other two as well. I'm pretty sure that playing each scenario will also piece together the entire story. So... short term wise, the game is short. Long term wise, it's long. How does that sound? LOL! ^_^
