When The 3rd Birthday was revealed, one surprise was, "Hey, Square hasn't forgotten about Parasite Eve!", the other was "What's Aya doing in a wedding dress?". It sure looks like a good way to entice the fans into the game, putting the tough heroine under a white veil, but according to director Hajime Tabata, that's actually a crucial point in the game.
“It is one of the key points of the story so I can’t give you an answer right now,” Tabata told Siliconera. “You’ll have to play for yourself to find out.”
Seeing as we can't really play the game right now to find out, we'll leave that up to good ol' theorizing. Any takers?

My theory comes from the TGS video showing Aya shoot Kyle and also the end of the wedding video showing someone open fire then remove someone in his arms.

I'm guessing is Kyle is doing the same in 3rd birthday. Being "evil" in order to protect Aya. In the E3 trailer, Aya almost looks like she's crying after she tears her clothes in order to wrap her wounds and reluctantly raises his rifle.
