Gran Turismo for the PSP made a lot of buzz with its stunning looks running on Sony's handheld. You've read the news, you've seen the screenshots, now pull up that chair and watch the Gran Turismo PSP opening cinematic. If that's not enough, you can also catch Marty McFly's DeLorean blasting from the past and into the game.

Back to the Future?

In case you were wondering, the DeLorean won't time-travel when it hits 88mph. But it'd be cool if we can time-travel to October 1st when Gran Turismo PSP launches in the US.

Am I the only who noticed the buttons kept popping up notifying the driver (the player) when to accelerate and decelerate? its in the 2nd video in the left bottom corner. but i guess this guy has changed the button config so he uses the R for acceleration and the L for deceleration.

i guess thats for novice mode, when it tells you when to hit the gas or brake.

» Swell.

That's Gran Turismo alright! I was worried they were gonna ruin it, but the physics look spot on!

by narutosaiyan - 2009-09-15 10:43
» that was

a part of gt5p... its driver assist, you can turn it on or off at any point.

damn I'm so sad right now,, the problem isn't so much career mode as it's that the time records for the tracks come completely empty,

and that creepy random calendar system,, if that's really random i can see myself rebooting and changing dates on my psp for hours just to get a car,,

not only is it just 4 brands by day but on that brand not all cars show at the same time..

wtf how could they screw this up so badly??

» Crap Graphics

Good Graphics??? The graphics are pure crap! Look at the game play. Burnout has a million times better graphics...

» mmm

cool

that car was made at the bottom of my street

by Foolmonkey - 2009-09-15 13:40
» Yea..

The graphics are pretty lame. Midnight Club LA Remix is still by far the best racing game on PSP. At this point I'm merely looking forward to another midnight club game.

by hush404 - 2009-09-15 13:59
» kiddin me?

Look at those car models! You don't see that on any other portable racer period.

» Review

IGN gave a 6.8 on their review... so, I don't know what to expect now

» @ Tsunaki

ARE U SERIOUS???

Instead of judging the game of it's graphics @ face value (where it look's so much better), U say the graphics suck and forgot th@ u are watching a standard quality video instead of high quality.

Graphics Whore.....

» GT = GT

GT = Game Trailers

GT = Grand Turismo

GT + GT = they were paid to host many videos....

by Eroqitek - 2009-09-15 15:50
» soundtrack?

anyone got the soundtrack list for it?

by T-Max Blaze - 2009-09-15 16:22
» I.....

WOULD NEVER TRUST IGN. They nitpick on too many things and their reviews are mostly based on their piont of views so if they don't like something about the game, they're going to pounce on the game for it nd force u to believe it's really th@ bad.

Just my OP.

» :D

looks so sexy!

by KingPepper - 2009-09-15 17:25
» Which view did you look at this video?

if it was full screen then yes of course it looks grainy, look at the 2nd video in the small screen mode + see what its going to look like basically on your PSP's screen.

@Foolmonkey, oh please Midnight club, you must need glasses or a better opticians. LOL

by Foolmonkey - 2009-09-15 17:33
» .

You don't wtf you're talking about. Sure the cars and realistic handling in GT look good, but the world looks like crap, which makes the game look like crap cuz that's all you're seeing. If you compare this GT video to a midnight club video, midnight club looks WAY more fun.

by KingPepper - 2009-09-15 17:50
» Remember Foolmonkey.

GT is a Driving simulator

Midnight Club is an arcade racer, so are completely different types of game.

» @Foolmonkey

Just to let you know i have been gaming since 1981, and my favorite genre happens to be Racing/Driving games, so yes i think i know a bit about this subject ok matey.

by Foolmonkey - 2009-09-15 22:38
» Duh.

I stated that aspect, and my point is still valid. GT isn't appealing to the eye. Only its driving sim makes it any good. Which, by looking at the graphics, you can tell it's all they focused on. I believe NFS Pro Street had a decent driving sim, of course nothing else ever released will be as good as GT. You can tell that by the video. I know exactly where you're coming from, sir. Don't take me for a fool

by sickofitall - 2009-09-16 02:54
» meh

this looks very similar to GT2 on the psp. I was expecting more from the graphics.

by Foolmonkey - 2009-09-16 03:17
» Ha.

Exactly what i thought when i saw it. I was like "this looks just like the ps1 version" lol.

Burnout Legends is the best PSP racer as far as I'm concerned but I don't think this looks as bad as some people are saying. Not my kind of racing game though.

by catacamas - 2009-09-16 04:55
» movie cars

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE OTHER FILM CARS IN THIS GAME, FOR EXAMPLE, THE BATMOBILE, THE GHOSTBUSTERS CAR, KNIGHT RIDER K.I.T.

WHAT DO YOU THINK GUYS?

by KingPepper - 2009-09-16 09:50
» @NathanDrake

You are right, Burnout Legends is the best Arcade racer on PSP, and the most fun, there is nothing better than doing Takedowns, and i would even say the best racing game on PSP at the moment, that is until this beauty of a game is released, well lets hope so anyway, hopefully after all of those years of developing this, it better be good.

@Foolmonkey,

Where have i ever called you a fool, your the one with the foolish name not me.
