I have this on DS and thought it was great, but this version looks so much better!
The lighting, for one thing, is a lot better! Look at the lights on the bridge and the cars!
It looks like we'll be getting tanks and helicopters to play with too (which wasn't included in the DS version)...
Can't wait!

Highest rated game does NOT mean most sold DS game. There are plenty of high quality games that sold dismal, not only on DS.

im really looking foward to playing this.
...and i think the reason why most people arent really liking this is because they wanted it to be a NDS exclusive. TOO BAD =)

On the psp, I cant understand why theres a need for it to be like this.
the ds i assumed it was only done that way because of draw distance problems surly the psp can handle it, at least at lcs/vcs levels considering those cities weren't even designed for a handheld let alone the ds
probably couldnt be arsed to make the effort to actually fit the game to the psp and just ported it with some slightly higher res textures and vertex colouring
then again maybe its just an art thing and thats the "character" they want this game to have to make it stand out from the others
....maybe somewhere in between??

Yet the iPhone version won't have standard controls either.
DS. Best of both worlds!

Might be worth a look anyway. Some of my favourite games were top down perspective (Mercs for example).

The game itself was great on the DS, no reason for it to fail here.
The effects look very nice, the only question for me is how comfortable will the PSPGo controls be?
Perhaps a game better played on the earlier PSP iterations.
Still, the UMD should also give us an even better selection of radio stations and material to listen to, another GTA staple.
I, for one, can't wait for this to be released.
It's be great to see a PS2 version though *fingers crossed*

if the game is good, the you wont even care. i, personally like the feel of the sky view camera, just like in the good old gta's. gives a different game play/tone and has a special nostalgic aura. (hope it has a lot of night missions, abandoned warehouses, dark alleys kind of stuff)
