We've heard all about the Infected Mode in Resistance: Retribution. Now it's time to see how it actually looks. This demo comparison video shows the Standard gameplay vis-a-vis the Infected gameplay. The dialogue does alter in the Infected Mode, with James Grayson seeming a little bit more kickass.

Resistance: Retribution comes out March 17th from SCEA.

Agreed. "Aw by my infected ass." sounded very cheesy.

I played the demo. Its technically impressive, but the game sucks. Its just brainless running around holding the R button. There are health boxes every where, ammo everywhere. Its irrelevant what weapon you use, you just hold the fire button to shoot until they drop, or you die. Complete bullcrap.

Its like single player Quake 3 with a story. Except that Quake 3 is very entertaining...

Oh man I clicked on here to comment on the demo as well. First off, their new targeting system is not polished enough, let's say you're shooting robots and the "death frames" appear meaning you can stop shooting and they will eventually die, you can continue to shoot them but it doesn't matter. Anyway while the enemies are going into their death frames you are constantly locked onto them while other enemies shoot you, you can try to turn away from them but since it's assisted he will stay locked onto that target until it is off the screen, kind of like when you hold down the shoot button on tomb raider. The controls are poor which surprised me because I loved both Syphon Filter games, and that's exactly what this is, Syphon Filter, just in the future or something it doesn't matter. The graphics are how you would expect a Syphon Filter game to look, they still use the same sound effects and sometimes they over use on the "glow" effect to try to hide some bad textures. Everything is either real shiny or too dark. I understand I just made fun of this game for a straight 2 minutes but like you said Torch, graphically it's great, and I'm sure the art and level design is going to be interesting. But the controls.. THE CONTROLS!

: ( The new dialog sounds like a bad dub job, i think i'll play the normal game first and then i might replay it in infected mode but everything else seems good, i guess i have to wait and see for myself.
