...Do you mean GTA II, which was a top-down-view game? GTA3 was the first 3D GTA.
I nominate this game for an award in the "least pirated game" category.

Find it hard to drive and its very very arkward. Rating the game low. Cutscenes are quite nice. So is the GPS. And the way cutscenes cut in is quite nice.

Terrible... just utter trash, I can't believe Rockstar made the 'wise' decision to port this piece of garbage to PSP. Still trying to milk the lack of sales it made on DS I guess, well, I really don't think this is going to fair the bargain any for them... This game is going to go down in history for 'a GTA title that doesn't sell.. period'
After this is released, I hope Rockstar wipe their knees and faces after wiping out and get up and come back with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Stories for PSP... we live in the 2000's now, not 1989.

This is my first comment, I've been reading the articles for awhile now and I finally registered today. I registered mainly to write this comment.
You people are idiots. Ya'll have known about this game for months now, and you wait until the day of its release before you realize what it is... That's just sad.
I for one am looking forward to playing this game.
i was hoping it was gonna be more like GTA2, as it was my favorite gta,this game dont look bad, you guys are just *****ing blind, no its not like gta3+ but its still a damn good game
for the DS and almost regret it. I ended up getting a game save because I just want. to. blow. *****. up!
GTA - Awesome action screens = sadness
I was extremely disappointed on how bad they made it look on the DS and then I laughed, hard, when they wanted to port it to PSP and not make it a full scale GTA game like Chinatown Stories or something.
Quite stupid.
But hey, gotta make back the money spent to make a terrible game by today's standards.
I blame the DS.
i mean im a huge Rockstar fan and ive been waiting a while for this game 2 be released, but im playin dis game rite now, and u knw wat it really aint dat bad like every1 else is saying. It may not be like GTA LCS or VCS but Im enjoying it +)
And to all those ppl who are just complaing:
ironicmind13 right...all of you act like if you didnt know that this game was gonna be a sumwhat port of the DS ver. and that it was gonna look like GTA 1 + 2. Just appreciate that Rockstar released it on the PSP and that we dont have to buy a NDS just to play it.

Sure it's the same game, but it's got an overhaul when it comes to graphics and extra content.
The blurred 3d graphics that were on the DS are now changed to extremely beautiful clear graphics when it comes to the world itself. The characters and enemies are obviously still cartoonish looking like on the DS version, but still look overall better.
Regardless which version you play it's a good game. It brings back the original GTA style but enhances it to be like the later games in the series which is alot better I think.
One thing I'm wondering about the people bashing it. Why are you bashing it and wanting another 3d GTA? It's not going to be any different when it comes to gameplay than any other game. I'd rather have a game that is partially different in gameplay over the same game over and over, even if it is a different world and story.
I feel so Damn disappoint.
I'm playing this game, and it's a pretty strange gameplay experience on the PSP.
You can literally *feel* that it wasn't developd for the PSP.
Terrible camera view, ancient graphics and bad sound fx.
It's as if it was screaming "I'M A DS GAME" all the time.
Still, it's a GTA and the gameplay mechanics are good and fun.
...a GTA Chinatown Wars *Stories* would have been MUCH better.
this game is *****ing awesome and you should be *****ing happy you get a chance to play it without your DS. you whiny *****es are a scourge on this earth. i give this game 9/10
its not like the better third person games but its pretty entertaining with the new features like the hotwiring and seaching the dumpsters (even tho the hotwiring can get u busted easier) graphics are crappy and so is the driving ill still keep playing it but im always gonna wonder why couldnt they remake this game with the new features but keep a 3rd person setting ill give it a 4/10
