Here's another one to keep the rumor mill going: according to Gamestop, Ubisoft and Atari have new PSP games up their sleeves that they still haven't announced. Ubisoft with Guitar Hits and Atari with the sequel to Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai, which will reportedly be called Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai Another Road.

If you check out the "Coming Soon" section for the PSP over at Gamestop's site, this is what you'll see:

Now, if these games are indeed in the works, we pretty much have an idea what Shin Budokai Another Road will be like, as it would be a follow-up to the earlier released Shin Budokai. But as for Guitar Hits, this is entirely left to speculation. Off the top of our heads we're thinking it'll be like Guitar Hero? But then this is just a wild guess.

Apparently, Ubisoft has used the name "Guitar Hits" for a series of PC products that teaches users to play guitar with a combination of tablature and technique videos. And seeing that GameStop is listing Guitar Hits for the PSP as a simulation game, this PC series being ported to the PSP is a prediction that may not be too far off. But as usual, none of this is confirmed so we'll have to wait for more info to surface. We'll keep you posted.

UPDATE: Ubisoft has just confirmed Guitar Hits for the PSP, according to a Pocketgamer report. Some of the mentioned possible game features include:
  • a selection of popular songs with both music and chord notation
  • ability to loop sections of a track or the inclusion of a metronome
  • the program could make use of the PSP mic peripheral to turn the handheld into a digital guitar tuner or even check your progress by analysing your playing
  • scheduled to be released on March 16th
