beats. for the PSP - Zune beater? - Image 1

PSP Fanboy reported something fairly interesting about a new product from Sony called beats. At NeoGAF, gofreak did some trademark snooping and uncovered the said product - it's on ESRB too.

Here's the description:

Providing access to gaming, digital music and/or video web sites; providing wireless transmission of music, video and games, via the Internet and via communications networks; uploading and downloading of music, video and games, via the Internet and via communications networks; providing on-line bulletin boards for the transmission of messages among computer users concerning games, music and videos; distribution of computer software relating to music, video and games over local or global communications networks; communication services in the form of matching users for the transfer of music and video recordings via communication networks; information, advisory and consultancy services relating to all the aforesaid.

Hmm... Music, video, and game downloads and uploads over the interwebs? Interesting indeed. First things that come to mind  is whether this will come as an update or a UMD and whether the current PSPs can handle oodles of gigs in the memory department. Andrew Yoon from PSP Fanboy was quick to note that Zune's capabilities would definitely be outdone. That we'll see if the rumored (yes, we'll be keeping this under rumor until further info arises) PSP product will ever see the light of day. Stay tuned.

beats

"beats"?, "music, video and games"? i would prefer if sony just improved on the psp instead because it has the same features already. i.e. downloading games, music, videos. etc.

Ass sucking jews

Sony is already giving up on the PSP. They won´t improve it any further but kicking every homebrew developer who tries to do so. Hell knows why. It would be so damn easy to upgrade the PSP with the few new features software- or hardware-wise but they don´t care anymore. PSP is almost dead and new products have to fill the gap.

yup

and its dead all thanks to people who bootleg games and didnt give the psp a chance to earn money. never bootleg the games in the first year of a new console.. buy the games, give them money, then devs will want to keep making games cuz they think they gonna get money.

It's spelled "loser", genius. And at least the psp can do other things. Zune is a pile of crap.

my 2 cents

i think the eye3 should be read as - eye three - not people think as - eye toy 3 - or - eye eye eye - or - eye cube -. and what is BEATS really, is it a program for psp that makes mp3 playing better? does it make mp3 sharing through wifi on psp possible? this gives more questions than answers.
