Ultimate Ghosts 'n GoblinsFeel like taking on some ghastly ghoulies? If so, then you guys might consider checking out Capcom's Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins for the PSP. The game was just released in Japan two days ago (the game will hit US shelves in early September), and is the first game in the series to employ 3D graphics. Don't be misled by the "3D" tag, as Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins still plays in a side-scrolling perspective.

Again, players step into the (probably very smelly from all that running around) shoes of Arthur. Hack, slash, and magic your way through a horde of enemies, building up skills and abilities as you progress. The non-linear gameplay allows you to use branching points and even warp points to skip or go back to previous levels to collect missed items.

Enough with the formalities and on to the action! Enjoy the dungeon romp, guys.

» Very Hard

This game is very hard, I would say almost as hard as Bionic Commando for Nintendo.

» looks awesome

this game was way too hard but a lot fun and the soundtrack is the same but all remixed....as a huge nes fan i get all those remake like megaman powered up !! will get that one too !! BTW NES was the best console ever !! at least games were original....

» lol

of course they were original! they were pretty much the first combinations of pixels that you could call games.

» snes or bust

It is OK. Nothing spectacular about it. You do get a lot of lives per game and you can start at the beggining of every level after saving. Its tough but the SNES version was more enjoyable.

» Good graphics, frustrating controls

The jumping controls are terrible. You can't move right or left mid-jump, you can only turn around (how useful is that). You have to press right or left first, then press jump. It's so irritating. I don't care if the original version had those controls, it makes no sense.

The graphics aren't that great, but upon closer inspection, they really are detailed. There's so much going on screen.

» Well, naturally ...

"You can't move right or left mid-jump,"

Not a veteran to the Ghosts and Goblins series and their brethren, I take it?

Being able to change direction after doing an erroneous jump and NOT land on the skeleton that just happened to appear where you landed ... if they let you do that, it wouldn't BE Ghosts and Goblins.

» Nhé.

The game is out. Why this site acts like the game is TO BE released? THE GAME IS OUT, god damn! And in DS Updates is the same thing, StarFox DS IS OUT and I saw an "more StarFox pictures", as if the game wasn't released yet...

» And...

This game ROX! Is one of the best PSP games. The controls aren't frustrating, they are the same from the Arcade version, wich ROX too. Go get this game, very fscking hard to play, but an awesome game!

» difficulty

This is actually a pretty easy game on normal once you learn the stages , You get 5 lifes and you armour can take 2 hits so its not that hard . The hard part is to find everything since you need 22 rings to complete the 1st run and another 11 rings for the 2nd , Ive finished the first part and Ive collected 6 of the 11 rings so far . So be prepared to serch thru every stage like crazy because G&G forces you to explore the whole game . Thankfully you can warp to any previous stage if you found the warp staff for that stage
