The Sony Ericcsson PSP v2: an artist's rendition |
Listed in: PSP Tags: 3G, Sony Ericsson
Ó
What with all these rumors that abound online talking about the on-again-off-again, now-fake-now-real, ever-so-fabled "PSP2", it's still interesting to note that the possibility of Sony releasing one would be a dream come true. Speaking of dreams, what do you dream of for the PSP2 (if ever there will be one)?Artist that he is, Emre Husmen just drafted his concept of what the PSP2 could possibly look like, and what features it could possibly have.
Given that Sony Ericsson logo, you'd instantly recognize that his concept art gives the PSP2 some cellphone functionality. Now, don't we all want that? His design also has two cameras: one on the face of the PSP, the other on the back. Hmm. 3G video conferencing capability, eh? Niiice.
There's been a couple of "fake" PSP2 pics floating around the net, and much to say, this one by Emre isn't necessarily a fake. We can't even say that it's a rumor because the concept art is real, and it's his own.
But as dreams may come, this "Sony Ericsson PSP v2" is definitely an eye catcher. Good work, Emre!

WOW Deja-Vu! Or am I the only one left that remembers the NGage? Yeowch! I thought we proved that cellphones have to get SMALLER, not bigger, with that thing.
Hit the PSP with Bluetooth technology to TALK to cellphones, but let's NOT build one in. Nokia learned their lesson, I sure hope Sony has learned it vicariously!

All we'd need now is an Mini B USB matchbox
projector or built in and we'd be set.
Come on folks what could be better than
plugging a PSP into a monitor, projecting
you PSP onto a wall. $H!T YEAH!
Extra storage like the 32GB Pro HG built
into the unit with a cardslot supporting
another 32GB Pro HG for 64GB of storage
capacity.
Going from 32bit to 64bit kernal system
would be nice so it could be hacked to be
thoroughlly compatible with WinVista.
WIFI compatible to stream all PSP media
through the PS3 onto a monitor, no need
for cables.
And last but not least, Bluetooth capible
so you can use Bluetooth Keyboard and
Mouse.
And if you really want to get freaky like me,
Projection onto a wall and bluetooth
laser keyboard.
I'd strap it to my arm with the quickness
like in Final Fantasy the movie only dif is
that keyboard was pressure sensitive
holograph and not laser but for right now
thats what you could use. :)
Call me a dreamers but technology can never
keep up with what I dream about and expect
out of our industry.

though but you'd still want bluetooth capabilitys.
Imagine playing the system I just painted a
picture of for you, What would you like on your
PSP or to add to my idea?

Too chunky, blocky and bricky in my opinion.
The Sony of late have been much better with Aesthetics of their products. Hypothetically if this was really the new PSP, this would really be quite a step back. I'd rather a gameboy (the original) over this. Or atari lynx, game gear. etc.
This is just horrible!!

It'd be the perfect compromise between having a cell-phone sized device and having a screen large enough to be worth watching videos on.

I mean... PSP is the prettiest handheld console, but this, this is a total opposite. This is by far the ugliest handheld console that Sony could make...
Sony if you ever decide to make something look like this... please rethink it again.

its either 6MP or VGA.
to be quite honest i do not see a reason for the hypothetical camera to be any larger that 2MP as this will be plentiful for anyone with a 19" or less monitor let alone the screen itself.
but other than that, i'd say you hit pretty much everything there. gg

oh now lets not forget the loss of the whole UMD thing, that was the major downfall of the PSP, too expensive to produce and sony hold the rights to be the sole providers of the platform. it simply uses too much power and it too fragile. my switching to putting the games on memory stick they could do a hell of a lot better on the market.

No way in hell! Because that will mean that you won't be able to play new games with your PSP.
So again - IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!

But about the buildings - each floor collapsing would become more load that would be heavier and would make it possible for the next floor to collapse. I can't imagine how it would NOT fall at that speed.
