The REAL PSP Go unmasked

Eveyrone's been soooo deadly serious over the huge revelation last week of the PSP Go. Not everyone was pleased (as usual) with the redesigned PSP handheld, but I say it's time to take in a few deep breaths and let it out as a huge laugh. It's now or never, after all, we might not be all smiles in the coming days if the companies coming to the E3 don't deliver on their goods and promises.

Okay, now we have here the PSP Go - or at least as Sony would like us to perceive it:

PSP Go - Image 1

And then here we have an artist's rendition of the REAL PSP Go:

PSP Go Eric Cartman - Image 1

What do you know. Looks perfect, don't it? Although I imagine this won't be all too kid-friendly since Eric Cartman's got a less-than polite demeanor, and an absolutely brash vocabulary. If he's really the PSP Go, he's sure to trip a lot of Parental warnings.

Still, cute, huh?

Seriously? Who looks at those pictures long enough to go, "I got it! Eric Cartmen. That's what this looks like, Eric Cartmen. Funny kid..."

by crait - 2009-05-31 18:12
» Heh.

I knew the first version of the pictures weren't right!

These new ones are surely the ones going to be released at E3!

» well man

whenever i see something and right off the bat i see how i can change it i save the file and say how im gunna. or i forget..so he prolly thought of it randomly..there soo many people..its bound to hapan by random often or not.

PS........

the new psp go isn't very good looking and fairly ugly in my opinion...yer droppin too many balls sony..tooo many balls

by cadillac2929 - 2009-05-31 18:34
» funny stuff

Shaped just like Cartman...that is frickin hilarious. Seriously though I am an adult. The psp was already too small for my hands, now its even smaller. Also the start/select button is gay. Still a pretty cool design though...just needs some tweaking.

by ov3rkill - 2009-05-31 18:51
» Cartman FTW!!!

Haha... I'd definitely get the Cartman edition. xDDD

by kyuubi82 - 2009-05-31 19:42
» haha...

» Cartman? lol

Wow that was lame..

I dont see why so many people are hating the new design though, I actually like it - it's a lot better than some of the fugly mock-up PSP2 images that are all over the web.

The only thing I dont get - where the heck are the Display and Volume buttons?

by zer0xx - 2009-05-31 23:45
» dont you get it

it's not real a fan have seen the video he heard about the bluetooth so he thought he'll add bt to it and it will look real because that what they said in the video , and the missing buttons is the only mistake he did.

And he added the old no-umd rummer.

Cant remember if they talked about the screen or not but its a nice touch.

Will be luck if it looks anywhere close to this.

by zer0xx - 2009-05-31 23:53
» and

there is no why sony is that stupid to forget the 2 most important function volume and display control.

Expt. If its a touch...

A touch screen psp, even the icons move with the wave movement, I have seen some exclusive shots and vids frm a friend who works for Sony and is working at E3 this year( last year he had pneumonia so he couldn't attend). You will all be very surprised at the features yet to be announced, I know I was. Bluetooth for headsets, mics & DS3/Sixaxis. Advanced Remote play, psn friends list access i think and some other cool things.(like using ur cell as a modem for it.

I like the new design except for one thing, the screen size is smaller.

This isn't news and you shouldn't get paid for writing this article, in fact it should be deleted altogether.

Qj has really fallen hard :(

by GLO13AL_T3RROR - 2009-06-01 05:39
» well.

I would only buy this ***** if sony is willing do make a store aplication like iphone. Beside not having a touch screen really let me down.

by eynstyne - 2009-06-01 05:49
» Yep

damn, said it before me. Agreed. This is *****in stupid. Not as stupid as the april fools ***** they pulled before, but this ranks there.

South Park fan, don't *****in' use cartman for ur bull***** news. (If that's what u can call it)

by Luigi Panache - 2009-06-01 07:22
» Buttons

@zer0xx: Please, learn to type! Seriously, you cannot spell AT ALL.

@Cactuar Knight: I have a few ideas about the Vol Up/Down buttons, the Note button, and the screen button.

1) Maybe they are on the side of the PSP's screen, "Hidden" from view much like the power switch and the L/R buttons.

2) Maybe it really is a touch screen and those functions are incorporated into the interface. However, I highly doubt it.

3) Lastly, Sony may have completely trashed the Screen and Note buttons because there was not much use for them except for Homebrew shortcuts (which Sony does not like) and dimming the screen (possibly done by sliding the screen.)

» lmao

this totally made my day.

You're an adult and you call objects gay?

Maybe you're jewish, Im told they class people as adults from 13.

by FlagBearer - 2009-06-01 09:50
» Wow, you guys...

I hope you're not serious. This is a JOKE. Common to put in newspapers to brighten the day of the reader, not offend South Park fans.

Really, lighten up.

by virx216 - 2009-06-01 10:10
» yes it's a fun joke, I sorry...

If it bricks it could say "Oh my god, they killed Kenny!"

by FlagBearer - 2009-06-01 10:13
» Uh....

You mean....Like a PlayStation Store?

Yeah... I hope they come out with that too......

/sarcasm

by xxPI3TROxx - 2009-06-01 10:19
» Screw Sony...

I knew they would let me down, again. Fancy releasing this heap of *****? No improvements, plus its ***** ugly. GIVE ME TOUCH SCREEN AND TWO ANALOGUE STICKS and m,aybe i might actually play the damn thing. I havn't booted up the old thing in years.

by Ratchet8clank - 2009-06-01 10:40
» well thats nice.

if you dont want it, then stfu, i agree with what the other guy was saying, if you dont want one, we really could give a rats bumhole. And how did they let you down? They are changing the hardware to something else, its their console, its how THEY want it, if they think it will sell, its their own decision. And one more thing, what portable console has two analog sticks? and what console has a touch screen other than the iTouch or iPhone, which really isnt a console? besides, its not like you could use the touchscreen for much, unless they changed the xmb, and the second analog stick isnt nessecary to have fun.

i for one, will probably buy it when it gets released, im hoping it has some other unreleased enhancements though!

» lame

I dont like it... looks like they are trying to copy a phone!

by TPot - 2009-06-01 11:47
» My hands cramp up using the current model.

This ones controls are way too tight... I think I would have to hold it sideways to use the nub at the same time as the buttons.

by nickelwise - 2009-06-01 13:54
» Ratchet8clank

@Ratchet8clank

what console has a touchscreen?

hmm.. i don't know about that one... maybe the PSP's biggest competitor, the DS? i can see why you will buy this *****, you are obviously retarded.

by TheLastGuitarHero - 2009-06-01 14:55
» ...

How in the blue Hell are they trying to copy the iPhone with this new design?

by 93pauott - 2009-06-01 22:39
» @ TheLastGuitarHero

There is a difference between "a phone" and "Iphone"

Learn to read properly.

by Digitus - 2009-06-02 01:20
» Wow

Guess I'm in the minority when I say I like the design. Wasn't really fond of the original PSP's design to begin with. I like how this one looks. Reminds me of a phone which is a good thing since I'm a phone enthusiast. It sorta looks like the Sony Mylo. I really don't get whats to hate but whatever, someone not liking how something looks doesn't really mean much of anything anymore.

by MMPSP - 2009-06-02 04:23
» a phone

copy a phone.... not an I phone...

by MMPSP - 2009-06-02 04:34
» psp phone

When I found out PSP could use skype for outgoing calls I was stoked! Here you have a console built for games, media and as an added bonus you can call people for free from a free wifi access point! Then the cell phone companies started rushing to make their phones play games! I would never buy or even use this product if someone gave it to me. I am a phone fan as well but when you start copying the slide out like phones I think that is lame! PSP was original design in a sense of its long rectangular shape with large screen.

so uncomfterable to play any game on
