Ewan Spence feels your pain, he shares it, because it is his pain, too. He's come to tell us that The PSP Show #22 is dedicated to the memory of Lik-Sang, a eulogy of all that it had done for the consumers - and the ironic advantages they gave to Sony. But of course, it doesn't end there. To answer the faint cry of "What do we do now? Where do we go from here?" Ewan offers us two suggestions, all with one intent: time for Sony to know that we, the consumer, are upset.
I recall, in my journeys through QJ comments and forums, that when similar suggestions have been raised, many of you have countered, "So why would a megacorp like Sony listen to us when it can easily afford to ignore us?" True enough, but I personally can counter that with something I read this in a forum sig (not the QJ forums, though): "Destiny is just a lame excuse to let things happen."
Ewan admits his first idea is frivolous - to just buy the PS3 console (and nothing but) and resell it somewhere else. I'll leave it to him to explain. It's the second one that's more probable, even if it is a long-shot: a letter-writing campaign. Nothing profane though: Ewan advises that we write a polite letter to Sony to tell them why we think they made the wrong move with Lik-Sang.
It may not hit Sony at the bottom line - not yet, anyway - but it might warn them that the mood in the air is decidedly against them. And economic analysts everywhere agree: Sony can't afford that. Hear Ewan out. It's a long shot, sure, but destiny's just a lame excuse, too. Thanks for telling us about this podcast, Ewan. Thanks for reminding us we've still got a voice.

Sony was out of line. There was no reason to do this and it really pisses me off that they did this. D:
I just wish to tell you guys that I am very saddened by the fact that your company sued lik-sang. I have been waiting for the PS3 and have not bought and Xbox360 yet. Due to your legal action I cannot support Sony anymore. I do believe that your public action against lik-sang will prove to be a very bad choice for your company. Your corporate man-handling of other small companies will prove to be your downfall. I will be sure to express my views to as many people as I can. I deal with over 2000 people a day and they deal with 2000 people a day. This time you have overstepped your bounds, whether it was legal or not is not in question. It was the wrong thing to do. The upcoming release of the PS3 will probably be harmed by this quite a bit. Maybe one day you will actually learn from your mistakes as a corporation.
Being a teacher I can reach a lot of people.
Others should do the same. Maybe we can make $ony act differetly in the future if we actually do something about it.
In all truthfullness I will now be buying a Wii way before I buy a PS3...I have decided to still keep my PSP but that is becasue it is a virgin 1.5 - with that I can stick it to the man in other ways

The inventor of the podcast is a tortured soul,yeah he or she inovated the net but it also allow a lot of buttholes to have their own shows.
I was thinking on a podcast to make people waste their times hearing all this stuff no one really cares so they can waste their lives with me in my show about how the podcast suck but i think it would be contradictory.

Also Link sang was teh suck,their services never were i live and their prices were too high.Also their only have crap and pre-ordering was a pain.

We care about your opinion but is nothing on our control anymore,the law has clearly resolved this issue.And even with closignof the mentioned site,theres nothing we can do.

We at Sony appreciate your wait for the upcoming Playstation 3 console by boycotting the Xbox360, but are dismayed by your recent choice to stop supporting Sony and its Affiliates.
We however do not agree with a number of items in your e-mail.
1. Our action against Lik-Sing will go unnoticed within a week. Microsoft crushes small companies like small children burning ants with a magnifying glass.
2. Corporations man handle, get used to it -- or hand in your resume to McDonalds as a "Drive Thru Operator", as that will be the only job you can strive to attain if you can not deal with the "blood" from following a corporations ideals.
3. Feel free to express your sorrow to everyone you meet, we imagine it will fall on deaf ears, as "Sony" is all powerful and does not care who you tell about trivial matters.
4. You do not deal with 2000 people a day, you are now a Liar. Your fictional people also do not deal with 2000 people a day. You are not a person of authority, member of the press, or celebrity. We can assume this because you are complaining in a online blog post. Which raises another question, should you not be in bed?
5. We have not over stepped any boundaries, we presented our case in a court of law, we won. If you don't like it, apply to law school and we will enjoy squashing you in 6 years.
6. We don't forsee any damage to our upcoming launch of the Playstation3, be real here. We are going to sell out on day 1 and continue to sell out all next year because we are Sony, and Playstation sets the standard in video game entertainment.

P.S. Our lawyers will be freezing all your parents assets, and suing you for owning a modded PS2.

The consumers control the market guys. If a lot of people voice their opinion they can swing sales trends. If everyone sits on their asses nothing will ever change. The problem is that in todays society nobody stands up for their beliefs any more.
And yes I deal with over 2000 people a day. I am a teacher. Directly I see 35 kids ever hour. The rest in the halls. That is at one school...a small school. These kids then have a few friends that do not even go to our school or who are clubs of their own...so please dont tell me what I do everyday. If I say something I mean it. I have no reason to lie.
AS with Microsoft I have other issues with them but that is for another day.

The most effective way to express your objection is stop buying the PS3. I am putting my money on Wii since day 1 so I don't care. I am not a fan boy and I don't own a nds nor a game cube. I just go for whichever the product that I think is worth buying (as a consumer not a fanboy). To me IMO I go for the best buck. So it is just your choice. If Nintendo does something to piss me off (like cancelling Zelda's release) I will not buy Wii either. So I am not on anyone's side

For all those upset, boycott Sony products. They won't hear unless it affects their bottom line directly.
When their sales targets don't meet their expectations, then perhaps they'll fire the arrogant people manning them right now and get back to the user community like what they did with the PS1 where they encouraged homebrew via Yaroze.

You have the right mind-set, but you come off as a bit arrogant. Arrogance makes it hard to listen to you. Your numbers don't seem to add up either. Unless you teach 42.85 hours a day, run into another 500 students in the hallways, and then take the time to lecture each of them; you just come off as a liar.

American - good point. I said direct contact - assuming eye and smell. I do not talk to 2000 people a day but by talking to 35 kids a class and then having them talk to their 35 kids in the next class and so on and so foth I can get them all talking. I do not tell them what to do....I inform them of world events. I get them to think of the impact they can have on MEGA corps. They have just never thought that they can decide if companies thrive or fail. I do not care if my number add up...it was a point....and I am a gramatically challenged teacher ... so you can probably figure out that I do not teach english...spanish is easier...it makes sence. Sorry for the arrgoance I blame that on a heavey mixture of diydrogen moxide, glucose and ethanol, which heats up due to increased hydrogen bonding - so do not try ths at home.
