SCEA has set a release window for The Eye of Judgment: Legends, the PSP version of the PS3's own turn-based card battle video game. No retail release for this one -- it'll be available exclusively from the PlayStation Store in Spring 2010.

Before you start to think otherwise, The Eye of Judgment: Legends isn't just a camera-less port of the PS3 version. Over 30 of its more than 300 cards are new, all of which can be traded wirelessly with other players or won from battles.

The game's also getting DLC in the form of new cards for players to use and trade. There will also be new single- and multiplayer modes including a story mode, something that was absent from the PS3 version.

Never played the PS3 version (the set-up turned me off) so I might pick this up. Anybody here wanna shed some light on the original's gameplay?

It was good when it worked. Sometimes the lighting in your room made it difficult. I only bought the base game with the eye-toy on clearance at kmart for 15 bucks. It came with just one deck and booster with extra cards so I could only ever play with the AI. Couldn't ever find the boosters or decks in my local stores. It always disappointed me.

Meanwhile, Wagic's upcoming release has more than 5000 cards :)

It'll be difficult for us to beat the fancy graphics though, so I'm looking forward to this game.
