Tetsuya Nomura "will try his best" for a Dissidia sequel

Dissidia: Final Fantasy made quite a lot of noise during its run, and how could it not? Having the heroes and villains of FF in one game is a spanking good formula for Final Fangasm, setting the gameplay part for another debate. At any rate, if you're up for another serving, there's hope yet - Tetsuya Nomura Tweets that he'll try his best to get a sequel.

Asked to comment on a Dissidia sequel, Nomura-san replied, "'I'll try my best for a Dissidia: Final Fantasy sequel," via Twitter, translated by Siliconera.

Clearly, no such game is currently in the works, and Nomura would be better left to concentrate on Versus, Agito, the next Kingdom Hearts, and many others. After that queue, then we'll see.

I see a lot of potential in a Dissidia sequel. If they were willing to make it for the PS3, they could add in out of battle movement (like in KH), as well as 1 on 2 or 1 on 3 (and vice versa) battles (imagine Squall and Cloud vs Sephiroth!). What I mean is, make it a full scale Kingdom Hearts-style game, but with the Dissidia battle elements instead of the menu fighting system.

Summons/Eidolons could have BP and HP modes, where when summoned, they actually appear on screen and attack, taking away either BP or HP, or adding whatever effects that they do.

Towns would be an awesome addition where you could interact with the other heroes.

That might be hard to accomplish on the PSP, but PS3 could handle it for sure! It'd be one of the best games ever, so long as they kept the storyline up to par.

yeah i think its too early for a sequel wait until they have a new set of FF characters then they could release it on PS4 or whatever

Let's hope this "possible sequel" has a story worth of the final fantasy game. Dissidia was worth for its playability, but the story was very poor.

The gameplay in Dissidia was fine, but the actual fighting was full of complete BS. Hopefully the sequel will fix the whole "you're kicking my ass and I haven't touched you? I'm killing you in the next 5 seconds!" thing. That totally killed the game for me.

I want my FFXIII Versus Already. and after that my Kingdom Hearts 3 then you can finish up your Final Fantasy XIII Agito and your 3rd Birthday and then you can think of a sequel because you announce like 5 games your working on and so far only one of them is about to come out in America which is Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

i would just like to see some side characters in the game like barret auron vincent i felt having only main villains and heroes was a little boring after a while

Actually he could add all of the main girlfriends like Aerith AKA Aeris, Tifa and the gang for FF7, Rinoa.

Actually it would be possible for a sequel with more characters like the main party. Im too tired to say but he could add in the girls of FF.

Every main character in FF has his or her lover like Cloud and Tifa, Zack and Aerith, Squall and Rinoa, Zidane and Garnet, Tidus and Princess Mononoke, okay I dont remember Summoner girls name cause some person who I let borrow FF10 actually stole it, this is why you should never let people borrow games. I actually trusted him cause he was a friend.

FF11 was an online game, so whatever.

FF12, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmm.

we need more chars. where the heck is gilgamesh. how can you have ff without a cid? even a chocobo woulda made a neat char. how about those post x ff chars. pop them in too. so wtf why couldnt a sequal do all that well? its a stupid game with a pitiful story. reminded me of gundam wing. "what am i fighting for?" everybodys looking for a reason to fight. how about simply to get back home? their in a crazy chaos world and it never seems to bother any of them. wtf.

i hope square enix try to make a dissidia
game, a monster hunter-like style of an RPG final fantasy game.. for short..
the battle system of another dissidia will be like a monster hunter style.. for my opinion..

now that would be awesome
