Awhile ago, we featured screens from Tales of the World. These screens are from the same series, but a different game. Although saving the same release date (Q4 2006), same developer and publisher (Namco Bandai) as Tales of the World, Tales of Phantasia is different. Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition is actually a port from the PlayStation 1 game Tales of Phantasia, and will feature voices throughout the game and will have some interesting battle features.

The game has also been released once on the GBA, so this title will be highly based on the GBS game with some extra features. If you're Japanese, go here to find out more about the game. Here are the screenshots, enjoy!

I can't wait. Tales of Eternia for the PSP was AMAZING, so this is probably going to be very good at least.

# about the GBA versionGuest 2006-06-23 11:32
Nintendo was the publisher for the GBA version (that's why it was released in America).

This is a port of the PS1 remake of the game (which is the best version of the game).

Namco had better bring this over (or at least release it in Europe).

# BEST...GAME...EVER [in comic-boook-store voice]Guest 2006-06-23 12:23
My god, I'm possibly one of this game's (not the series, just ToP) biggest fanboys. The GBA port was crap. Hopefully, this thing can reclaim its glory, and NOT have the sound test cut. I'll either update or buy a modchip for this one!

Each time they port this game it seems to look worst and worst. Ahh look, it's now got a 3D world map. Thanks for making it look like crap though. I'm not impressed with what they've done with the sprites either. I think I'll save myself $40 and play this on the wonderful SnesPSP TYL emulator. Honestly, think about it. How could they possibly make this any better than the original?

# Star Ocean Anyone....Guest 2006-06-23 14:52
A remake of Star Ocean in PSP would make a decent addition to rpg genre of psp. I wish tri-ace would reconsider making a remake of this game in 3d.

Just finished the ps version last year.... #sigh#

Anyway, it says voices have been fully rerecorded and now the game is fully voiced (the ps version was voiced only at certain events)... i kind of liked the ps voices... except for Archie, hope they fix her, was annoying beyond belief.

Not sure about this one, but i think it also says the characters have been redone more realistically (the screenshots look just like the ps version though)

The screen was widened to fit psp

All new stuff from gba and ps versions has been added to the psp version

Says you'll be able to save and load anywhere(on the map i presume, but who knows)

Once you clear the game, something called "grade shop" will be waiting for you, except for that no further info.

Also other new features or additions seem to be hinted... but not really clear.

As far as i can tell, movies, graphics have been ripped straight out of the ps version.
