SWAT: Target Liberty actually takes place in New York City and a part of the players' mission is to thwart several international terrorist threats. In terms of gameplay, Target Liberty has an ad-hoc multiplayer system that allows various game modes. "Sierra Entertainment has a rich history of creating SWAT games that are immersive and full of the intense action and we don't intend to disappoint with this upcoming version for the PSP system," said Cindy Cook, chief strategy and marketing officer for Vivendi Games.
SWAT: Target Liberty is scheduled to be released Fall 2007. If you want to know more, the video below is actually a gameplay montage of the title.

OMG! Yet another GOD perspective shooter game.
When will they ever learn? You should never come out
with a FPS and make it a top down game, it will inevitable
fail always.
If you are a game developer reading this, the quickest
way to insure your game fails is to turn a FPS into a top
Down game.
Turning a FPS into a top down game is the laziest way to
produce a game. Yeah it's quicker to make a game a top
down shooter than it is to make it first person but you will
lose your fan base in doing so.
I have no interest ever in playing a top down game
regardless of what kind of game it is, even more so if the
original game was a FPS.
Killzone for the PSP killed it's self by doing this, others feel
the need to learn this lession the hard way as well
apparantly.
You don't approach a FPS crowd and turn their beloved
game into a top down player, this disrespects the games
fan base like spiting in their face and calling their mothers
a bad loose *****!
Regardless of others being more patiant with these
developers taking the easy route and still buying there
worthless game, I will never be sensitive to the design
and will always bust out the gate to bash their worthless
waste of time POS they call a new PSP game.
You don't turn a first person shooter into a top down player, it should be noted as a sin in the game development industery and insults the loyal fan base. I won't be purchasing or pirating this one either. Top downs are for RPGs only and never a good thing for shooters. Fans of FPS's want realism... looking down the sights at their foe, not an RPG style top down shooter. When will they ever learn, doesn't matter who they bring in to make the game better as far as stratagy and realism, if it's a FPS gone top down it will always fail.
So don't buy it you 2 whine bags.
GTA? well I must admit, it's not a topdown shooter but it's not a FPS. Well, I guess it was a topdown shooter gone second person perspective.
STFU you c o c k sucker, how could you disagree?
It's like turning Half-Life into a topdown. It just won't work. Think about it before you post stupid comments you moron!
saying that this is ok, give the industery false hopes that it is ok to turn every FPS into a god perspective game and they will start running rampant doing it to every FPS. Is that the kind of message you want to send out? thats it's ok to be lazy and turn every fps into a god perspective player? I have way higher hopes for the PSP and frankly god perspective games don't have that great of graphics compared to FPS's. if they want to do this, develop the game for DS only and leave the PSP alone for better graphic games and consoles.
Lol even Rockstar had the sense to know it was time to update their graphic to a better player perspective. It did go from original top down to a second or third, how ever you want to call it's perspective and it's a way better game now for having done so but, to take a game thats originaly a fps and making it a topdown is just unforgivable, lazy, cheap and I do agree, it's an insult to the fan base. Mike is a loser with no real taste in games if he truely believe this game looks good. Obviously he's never played the original SWAT games, if he had, he would realize the idiocy of his comment.
"idiocy"? That's funny! Especially coming from a person that doesn't know how to use basic punctuation marks when constructing a basic sentence. What's even worse is you don't even know how to spell the most common of words. "how ever" is one word as in "however" & truley isn't spelled with an "e" in it. It's spelled "truly".
and now to "castle rock": What you call your mom is your business. Don't worry though. I'll cheer her up later on tonight!
3rd u mean......
have you tried fps games on the psp before? It sucks because of the lack of a second analog nub. What the hell was sony thinking? i still wonder what the real reason was. I can understand why they took off the second shoulder buttons but why not make the L3 and R3 into L2 and R2? (click the analog nub to get the second shoulder buttons) The only real good ones are like Socom and Syphoon filter (maybe?)
i even tried Medal of Honor and coded arms.
this game is to nazi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
