In case you haven't been keeping tabs on the gaming buzz in Japan, Square Enix has four big guns for the PSP - Lord of Arcana, The 3rd Birthday, Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy, and Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. The publisher earlier sent out a little reminder that they'll be localizing all of them, then gave a few bits of info on the Western releases.
First up, the action-adventure Lord of Arcana. Square has announced that they'll be releasing a special “Slayer Edition” for the West, which comes with a "Slayer red" game case, a 44-page hard-bound artbook, and a mini-soundtrack CD. Scheduled for February 2011, Lord of Arcana will be the first of the four to be released.
Next is Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, rebuilt from the ground up by key personnel from the original Tactics Ogre development team, from direction, design, and all the way to music. The PSP reinvention of the classic strategy RPG will add new gameplay and character growth elements, as well as the Wheel of Fortune system for extra replay value.
