Yeah I gotta say, I wasn't impressed with that trailer. Not only is it bad that they are obviously trying to make their own version of Monster Hunter, but that it seems to be..... not that great.

It was important for Sony to ink an exclusive deal with Square for a game like this because quite frankly MH is the only reason to own that machine at this point.

Well, somewhere else it may be true that size matters, but not in gaming.
Game size does not equal play time.

Very true, such as Final Fantasy 1 to 3 use to be around 2 to 4 megabytes (LOL), and yet I spent many many hours on it~!
But, not sure for MH on the DS...

Apply Anti-Aliasing or GT trick then I'll accept that you're pushing PSP to its limits.
All PSP games have crappy graphic edges
I've talked to a developer and they said anti-aliasing is possible, they just don't pay attention to it due to time constraint.

Shadow of collossus improbably pulled off just boss fights because of the puzzle mechanics and the beautiful art direction.
I'm sure square will have the nicest rendered effeminate hero's possible, but thats really all the do as far as character design.
I just dont see how these kind of games can sustain much interest unless you where the type who was also endlessly entertained by hacking swarms of identical enemies in the Dynasty wars games.
