Black Rock's highly explosive racing title is getting a portable treatment later this year with the upcoming release of Split/Second: Velocity for the PSP.

Developed by Sumo Digital in collaboration with Black Rock Studio, Split/Second: Velocity will feature an exclusive new track, re-designed controls, new  challenges and four player ad-hoc multiplayer support.

Now this could be interesting - let's hope it's more along the lines of Motorstorm than Need for Speed in terms of sheer adrenaline.

Split/Second coming to PSP? Color me interested.

S/S was one of the best racing games in a long time (albeit short and the AI was too stiff). I wouldn't mind a portable version.
