Whether or not you find some of the PSP-3000's "features" bothersome, the fact remains: it's surely making waves in Japan. During its first four days alone, it's already sold some 140,000 units! But how far will these high sales numbers go? Sony Japan expects that they may have to re-calibrate their initial forecasts.

According to a report from Reuters, Sony is now expecting to sell a total of 16 million units for the PSP during its 2008 fiscal year. That's a million over their initial sales target of 15 million units.

If so, this bodes well for Sony. Jack Tretton, after all, was already quoted in saying that PS3 sales are going 30% faster than they expected for this fiscal year.

As I've told CFW made the psp thanks to their secret agent DAX who works for sony marketing. ^_^
