You have a feeling that E3 is really coming soon when all of these gaming companies are coming up with tons of news on what they will be showing us come E3. Well, Sega may be out of the console business, but we'll definitely see them and their company mascot Sonic dashing around rivers, mountains, and bridges in his new game, Sonic Rivals.
Sonic Rivals will be available for the PSP, taking advantage of the power of the handheld by providing a 3D environment for our speedy hero. So, what will be Sonic's adventure this time? Well, Sonic and Knuckles begin with what we consider as a friendly competition. Soon, the rest of Sonic's rivals want to get into the contest as well. This is a challenge to find out who the toughest and fastest is within Sonic's universe. You can use classic commands such as boost and power up to make yourself faster or, play a little trick or two to your enemy. The key here is to get ahead of everyone else. There will be four playable characters for Sonic Rivals. More so, the game allows you to collect trading cards which you can trade with fellow players as well. You can even play with your friend and the two of you can race each other through stages.

A shame every 3d sonic sucked up till now.
Sonic Adventure 2 was the ish.
Sonic Adventure 2 was very nice and if this game is going to be somewhat like that, except only with levels where you run (and not collect emerald shards or use a robot) then this will definitely be what I want out of a Sonic game.
I'd give both my nuts for a new 2D Sonic game on PSP
looks like a sequel of sorts to the classic sonic r for pc and saturn. I'm going to love this. Hope it has a good plot, unlike sonic R.

They made 'worms' 3D and it sucked! BIG TIME! nobody liked it so now they have gone back to the original 2D worms. The best dimention for worms!

It sounds like a racing game kinda like sonic R for the pc, but either way if it's sonic i'll put my money into it
what happened to the way Sonic games should be - action/adventure platformers!? god, Sega had to ruin a good thing with Sonic Heroes + any other Sonic-related games that came out after (except for Sonic Rush & those "Gems" classic re-releases, those own)

It looks like the game will be in a 2d/3d enviroment. Since the track width looks very skinny.
3d with a 2d gameplay fits sonic. Full 3d never made sonic go up to full speed.
How come you have so huge images? The PSP screen is not that huge. Is it example images? Or HD PSone images

sonic adventure 1 : 9.5/10
sonic adventure 2 : 8/10
sonic heroes : 6.5/10
Shadow the hedgehog : 4/10
Sonic Riders : 2/10
If you see sonic games are starting to suck.
Sonic Riders is a great game if you get past the dificulty, and it is way better than Shadow the Hedgehog.

all sonic games are kickass!!! and this one looks pretty good, it has 3D, but ti seems to be a bit side-scroll looking, Im gonan get it.
Ever since Sonic Heroes, Sega has been *****ed in the *****. What the hell. Seriously, the Sonic Adventure games pwnd, but then they said "Hey! Sonic Adventure 2 was great! Let's make it better by adding INSERT *****TY IDEA HERE." Shadow the Hedgehog sucked. Sonic Heroes sucked. SOnic Riders sucked. (Why the ***** does he need a hoverboard when we runs the speed of light???)
And this game is probably going to suck also. I love the Sonic games and I will never get bored of them, but I seriously think Sega needs to lay off the crack.

sonic adventure 3 would kickass
lately, the only good sonic game to come out (IMO) is Sonic Rush. Sorry to say it, but SEGA really needs to do something to the series' 3D games, because they've been getting worse. SA2 seems to be the only good one (again, IMO) in 3D.
Anyway, a 3D on 2D sonic racing game could be good, if they do it right. I'll probably get it anyway, regardless of the ratings it gets.
I must say I really hated sonic heroes. I did enjoy Shadow the Hedgehog but sonic riders is terrible. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were very enjoyable
Well I'll definately be getting this no matter what. I am a huge sonic fan, and allways have been. Though I hope they don't f' it up lol. A redone SA or SA2 for PSP would be awesome. And if/when they do SA3 they should make a sidegame for PSP that goes along with it.

then i changed it in some parts
saved it as a different EBOOT.PBP
examined both and adedd those chages to my A-O-T-M!!!!!

By the way djshrimpy, sonic can only run 900 miles per hour which is around 200 miles faster then the speed of sound.
