Do you guys still say play WTF? It's one of those games that you pick up and try for a couple of times. It is fun at first but then, you'll get bored with it eventually and just toss it some place only God knows where. After a couple of weeks or so, you'll find it by accident and be amazed all over again.Well, after being in the market for a couple of months now, we believe we've reached that part of the cycle where we find ourselves thinking and talking about WTF: Work Time Fun once more. We've actually come across "something" that we thought you'll find interesting as well. We call it "something" because we can't quite place it. It could be a mod, but then again, it could be a pure waste of time and effort.
There's this guy who claims that he's not good with WTF's mini game Wood Chopping. So what we he did was attached a webcam to the PSP and a little dynamo to press the "X" button. Then he added two laptop computers to the setup - one was for checking if your character is supposed to chop or not. If it's supposed to, the computer sends the data to the other laptop and it signals the relay board to press the button.
Sounds weird? Yeah, we thought so too. Anyway, here's a video clip to capture the weirdness. We wonder what the guys over at D3PA will say about this one...

If it was a complex game he would need 24 computers. LOL - Still, I am actually impressed - not by the setup, but by the effort. Necessity *IS* the mother of invention. (Although invention is the sister of procrastination .)
What's the point of "playing" a game if you make a computer play it for you?
Somebody used Legos robotics to actually finish the first level of super mario bros. What am I, Google? Look for yourself.
the minigames are either very hard or very boring or both. I'll stick to gameboyadvance emu and wario ware!

After reading that article and watching that video, i can truly say, what is the fu**ing need? you have just wasted 2 minutes of my time and a few kb's of qj.nets space....lame-o
detecting what an image represents is quite advanced stuff, if he programmed it himself. so it's probably done a lot of good for the guy's smarts in the long run.
I suppose the implication of programming something flies far above your head.
This makes me laugh so much... WTF is supposed to be stupid little games to waste your time... in other words, work.
This guy did like any big company would've done... Get robots to do the work! lol But he wasted all the fun of playing WTF...
Actually I'm sure he wasted much more time on this game while making that thing than anybody else who got that game.
And I'm also sure that building the robot was much more enjoyable than playing the game, too ...

Ok so i ll teach you some psychology (to those that think that this guy wastes his time) :
Intelligent people (a lot more than the average) usually
feel lonely in this category even if they have a lot of friends.
This is statistically proven . I.e : If you belong in the 1% of the population (IQ score) means that you must meet 100 people (and converse with them for some hours) to just find 2-3 people that fulfill your needs in this campus (so from 1%-3%... maybe also till 5% ) and from those 3 people some will have a character type that you don't like and you are incompatible with (lets say 50% of them to be optimistic) we are left with 1.5%. Till... some of them maybe not be at disposition for a relation friendship or sexual (cause they are married , too old , too young , their boyfriend/girlfriend is jealous and will not want this friendship , very distant etc...) I can't give you an estimate on this final parameter because it is relative (even the first estimate of 50% is very optimistic). Conclusion...
This kind of person must meet more than 100 people to just find 1 person to just speak about matters that he cant with other people just because they cant understand him or they cant expand more on this argument... In this kind of arguments the communication will be unidirectional only... and this is a very sad argument... Being so special and be considered by everyone intelligent and gifted and lucky but till you are punished from this society with loneliness. It really hearts !!!
Now what is the alternative solution that this kind of person finds (if he/she didn't find some kind of friend)?
He is being satisfied with he's own thinking...
Thinking is great to him... Is like a game to play alone (the sopposition is that he cant find other people to "play"...)
He takes satisfaction from this...
His brain is rewarding him with pleasure feelings when he invents something new to him !!!
And there starts the pleasure of inventing things... Whatever... it can be a way to fix an electrical plug or his Tv button or whatever mechanical problem or a philosofical problem he is interested in... or in generally whatever he didnt find a solution to yet and he is interested in finding out (sometimes they also try impossible things... here comes innovation)
So YES... NECESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION
and in this case is the necessity to fulfill this emptiness (its absurd to ignore this thing that belongs to his nature)
So yes... this guy can even be a high IQ guy that likes to invent new things... and there is nothing wrong with it.. its
absurd to blame someone only because he didn't invent something reeeeaaaalllyyy yyy helpfull to everybody or something that can be commercially used by others... Its absurd...

Try not to judge him by the utility that this device has to everybody else other than him... but judge it by his creativity !!!
