Smash Court Tennis 3 video: Monfils vs. Nadal

Smash Court Tennis 3 of Namco Bandai is shaping up to be a pretty solid title. It's not gonna rock your socks off, but looks functional enough for a tennis game. Having Pac-man in your game is pretty fun, but the top players battling it out sounds pretty good too. In the video we found, French star Gael Monfils battles it out against Spanish champion Rafael Nadal just like their Rome Tennis Masters Series match.

The animations are pretty good: the players move according to the ball's position. Game's flow is pretty fluid too, just like an actual tennis match. A couple of turn-offs would be how they move pretty much the same (like they're clones), and the failure of collision detection. There's a time when Monfils missed the ball but it was still returned.

Q3 2007 is still a few ways to go, so let's just hope they can put in a few improvements. Check out the video for yourself below:

Very good game !

Bought the game a week ago, and let me say this, the guy in the video is really not good at all. After a couple of hours on it the flow of the game is much better than this video shows. There's a few bugs here and there that's true though, warping players happens sometimes for no reason whatsoever but when you get the hang of the game they tends to disappear. It's a good game, and is different enough from Virtua Tennis 3 to make this a worthwhile purchase.

Seems to be a good game!

Can't wait this game for the PSP. I love tennis games and my PSP ;) Virtua tennis 3 was great, let's hope this will be as good if not better. ---------------------------------------------- Best place to look for stylish PSP wallpaper: http://www.pspwallpapers4free.com

the animation looks blocky and not as smooth as I saw in Virtua Tennis 3...
