Silent Hill: Origins "still on track," says dev member |
Ó

Survival horror game fans must have been horrified to hear of the Silent Hill: Origins delay rumor from last month. It certainly scared the pants off of readers and forum members of SilentHillOrigins.com, one of whom tried to keep sending Climax Studio devs email after email asking WTF was going on. SilentHillOrigins.com reports that late last week, Leonstars (that forum member) finally received a reply from Climax member Steve Merrett. And the reply reads:

Hi,
There are loads of rumours out there, but that is all they are – unsubstantiated gossip. Silent Hill Origins is still on track for the early 2007 release it always was.
Steve Merrett
We don't want to be killjoys; we got survival horror fans working here too who want to see Origins on the PSP. Which is why we're looking for hard evidence every time a newsbit comes up. What's nice about this newsbyte, though, is that even as we still seek further confirmation, we can breathe a little easier about Silent Hill: Origins seeing the light of day.
Normally, I find it very difficult to breathe when I play Silent Hill. Or see the light of day, for that matter (Which is why I usually hand the controller off to my brother. I'm such a *****).

Is not canned!!!!YAY,B ut i already know that, but what about the other rumor that its going to last 3 HRS and not the 8 hours, just asking.
I hope is fake0 .
Qj.net kicked kotaku in the balls with this.
It is good to hear that it is not gonna get pushed back.
This game is gonna be awesome.
I just ignore rumors all together now until an official announcement is made. Rumors are almost always just rumors, made by people who have nothing more to do than to stir up a couple of devoted fans.
Well the Kotaku Nintendo fanboys eternally have their heads stuck up their asses...
I hope this game is good enough to pirate.
Die.
So your sooo lazy that you only take out good games to pirate? shame on you... sit on your butt and don't do nothing but pirate... losers
It's awesome news and the gamke damn looks great, But what I have been affraid of is that they release a short crappy game :S
I'm really looking foward for this game and I'm looking foward to buy it but I hop it uses almost all the UMD¬¬ I hate paying 50 bucks for a couple of hundred MB's game!
This is one of the games on my top must get PSP list. That and the new PSP MGS.
im excited for this game, but i have only one problem with it. after watching in game footage, i think that the player animations seem very cheap. like when a pistol is aimed, there was no animation of the character lifting up his weapon. it just suddenly appears aimed. these were still early videos, but hopefully these animations will seem more fluid in the final release.
thats the e-mail i got
from steve merrett
i just hope everthing goes well with it
i am looking forward to this game
BIG TIME
so silent hill origins here i come OH YEAH
