As far as Japanese indie games go, there are a lot of interesting titles out there that never see the shores of English-speaking nations. Fortunately, homebrew developer Madlax was able to recreate the Scramble Savior game mode of Giga's Xross Scramble and port a demo of it on to the PlayStation Portable platform.

Scramble Savior Portable features a single player demo of one of stages from the original game. While there still isn't much in terms of content so far, it's interesting to see how close this handheld version is to the PC version.

To give you a better idea of how the game works, we've also provided a video from which this homebrew game was based on.

If you're interested in trying out this homebrew demo, you can download it through the link we've provided below. Before you do so, however, please make sure to read the information found in the source link for instructions on how to install the game into your handheld.

Just a request though, could you guys start covering the Japanese homebrew scene too? It would be great to see all that's out there.
