Scanning through the core of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII |
Listed in: PSP Tags: FFVII, Japan, Jump Festa, Square Enix, V-Jump
Ó
After its playable demo during the recent Jump Festa in Japan, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is getting more and more fans (both old and new FF-fans alike) ecstatic. The demo has two playable modes, one involving an invasion of Wutai - that's Yuffie's hometown - and another that involves a battle with Ifrit.Speaking of combat, this Square Enix title is an action-RPG and will be far different from the turn-based battles of the original FFVII. Kind of like a real-time active-time sort of deal involving using up Action Points and a random Slot system.
While this scan is in Japanese, you don't need to understand the text just to get all excited. It's a scan from "V-Jump" and has some stills of cinematics (which we've seen before) and a couple of new gameplay screenshots thrown in... curiouser and curiouser...
The Japanese release this Spring isn't too far off, but what most of us wonder is when it'll come over to our side of the world. Don't worry, we'll get more info on this soon enough. Keep the materia in your pocket and watch this space!

It could be interesting to have a KH style battle with AP limits and random slots that help in battle. As long as its something exciting and not mediocre, it should be awesome.

final fantasy tactics is awesome, and crisis core will be way awesomer
and while final fantasy vii is cool and all, it is better to have a new story, not the same old thing everyone played like 10 times....
a remake of final fantasy vii would be welcome, but crisis core is better +p
