Rumor: Soul Calibur 3 for the PSP |

Ruliweb managed to get hold of news and some screens that seem to indicate that Soul Calibur 3 is set to make its way to the PSP. The report says that Soul Calibur 3 will remain largely unchanged from its PS2 version. Above is a screenshot seen on Ruliweb.
What makes this rumor a bit shaky is that it is quite difficult to confirm the information. As noted by the folks of PSP-vault, the screenshots featured by Ruliweb has watermarks of Famitsu.com, unfortunately they were unable to find a corresponding article on the Japanese news site.
Moreover, as of this writing it seems that the Ruliweb article is no longer up. Pulled out perhaps due to people spotting a fake, or perhaps because of a request from Namco Bandai? Regardless, it seems that the promise of getting to play Soul Calibur 3 on the PSP is welcome enough to warrant this much speculation.

Oh my I read the headline and got short of breath. I'm one of the few that believes Soul Calibur is by far better than Tekken or Virtua Fighter. Please give me Soul Calibur any version I don't care.
Great, I didn't buy Soul Calibur III for the PS2 because it looked the same as SCII but I would consider buying it for the PSP.
Cool this is one of the best games namco has released
and having SC3 on the PSP would be AMAZING! I would pay pretty much anything for it.
SC is like WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAY better than tekken IMO. SC actually takes skill
If they bring Soul Calibur to PSP without the horrible, game-ruining glitches that plagued SC3 on PS2, I'll love it. But as someone who played SC3 on PS2 and loved it until it messed up a whole memory card and ruined the entire experience, they really need to make sure it's glitch-free.

This can't happen. It can't be exactly like the ps2 versino. there is too much stuff on it. It would take like 3 umds. maybe 2 if the graphics suck.
But Tekken DR worked just fine and the graphics were great
i love soul calibur its my favourite fighting game and the Only PS2 game i still own, its a shame that it doesnt play well on PS3 all the time "some minor issues" however its still the best !!! also tekken DR is good !

My platinum version doesn't have the glitch. I feel bad for people who do have it. Luckily it only affects Chronicles mode, not the whole friggin' thing, though.
games don't even need a full cds theses days they're mostly full of bs padding files and mpeg movie files with good quality and very little compression., or bs security files that are pretty much useless in stopping piracy etc. this game needs no more than 300MB or so but it'll prob edn up being 500+ anyway as an iso (not cso)

Rumor on old PS2 hit going to the PSP: big news to fans of the game who own a PSP. Dark_AleX and Daedalus: big news to the PSP homebrew community.
We post D_A stuff as soon as we get word, really, we do. We don't bury stuff like that to favor hyped PS2 to PSP ports. After all, we need the ad revenue from the resulting traffic to feed ourselves.

apparently your not alone, all my friends play loads more SC than tekken
Guy SC3 is by far a better game than 2. It's been tweaked to almost perfection. Cheap characters like Ivy and Nightmare have been tuned down, and the characters seem to have more weight to them. Soul Calibur 3 and God Of War 2 are the only PS2 games that have every seen the inside of my PS3. Furthermore to make things worse every sunday my friend and I play untill our fingers are sore.

i would love to see this game become a reality on PSP, especially if it gets game sharing like tekken has.
