RUMOR: Sonic Rivals 2 slated to hit PSPs on November 6 |

Sega of America's Sonic Rivals 2 will allegedly be released on November 6 on the PlayStation Portable for US$ 39.99. This game is the sequel to Sonic Rivals which was also released on the said system. The release date and its announcement has been reported by various sources such as Game Informer and Game Trailers but until we get word from Sega themselves, we aren't confirming it.
If this game is anything like the first one, then you can expect it to be a blast to play. Hopefully, they'll fix up the problems that plagued the first such as the rafter iffy level design. In the original Sonic Rivals, Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, Silver Sonic, and Metal Sonic were playable. This newer iteration will hopefully add in some new characters to the mix rather than just sticking with these five and the four support characters.
As of now, very little is known about the game but hopefully, there'll be more news about it. Be sure to keep checking back here for more information on this game.

Oh nooooooooooo, omfg, please, pleaaaaaaaaaase, SEGA, don't release another trashy Sonic Rivals game episode. PLEASE, for heaven's sake! Why don't they come out with a REAL sonic game, as they did on gba ? (Sonic Advanced 1,2 (3rd is ugly)) SEGA, be ashamed of the rubbish you've been coming up with lately -__-
Did anyone else think Sonic Rivals 1 was the worse game for the psp. I played it once and it was so bad I never played it again. Mabie 2 will be better, but I doubt it.

please no. sonic rivals is utter garbage. Take the engine, and the maps, and make a real sonic game with a real story and real missions. Please give me a reason to pick up my PSP more than once a year when i kick it off the footrest.
Why does Sega even bother to make another sonic game...first thing what is sega doing on a sony handheld...and 2nd even if you make it do it on a console...3rd sonic sucks...

as soon as they teamed up sonic with the new characters it ruined their campaign. they've been comin out with terrible sonic/sonic team games. there has actually been a vote on a side if they should let sonic go solo again. but was the secret rings game for wii any good? i never looked into it.

Not being able to control sonic is stupid, you basically are doing the same map over and over with different missions.

Please don't waist your time SEGA with more trash, make a game we want to see like "Shining force 3" (all 3 parts .... plus the primium disc) remake that for PSP or OMG since the new NiGHTS is coming to Wii remake the original for PSP come on SEGA two genious ideas right there .... I wont even ask for money for handing you that piece of gold there just bring those two games out and I'll buy them, I wont even pirate the... Knuckles mod on genesis was awsome, we were used to sonic + tails, and being able to play this weirdo mysterious flying capable and punching character was a great fun. Fighting against the metallic evil sonic at the end of sonic was too. The mysterious power of the chaos stones and the supersonic state gave Sonic2 + Sonic3 (+knukles mods) damn interesting. Now, I just can't recognize Sonic games. They look so cheap, with silly kiddish teenish american voices. And I am horrified every time I see all those useless extra characters. I am definitely going back to genesis + gba emulation.
Sonic Rivals was, in comparison to recent Sonic games, ****ing brilliant. It retained the old 2D gameplay and added the racing twist to it. I loved every second of it. The Advance series/Rush, Secret Rings and Rivals have been the best 'modern' Sonic games in that they retain the sense of speed without killing the gameplay with terrible camera views and glitches. I don't understand how you guys can pay Rivals out so much. Sure, it has really limited replay value, I'll admit, but it's fun while it lasts. Surely we can praise Sega for improving just a little? Anyway, bring on the sequel! (Oh, and I know the amount of new characters is annoying. But think how many extra characters Mega Man Powered Up had. :P)

Use sonic rivals graphics - but remake sonic, sonic 2, sonic 3 +knuckles - INTO ONE GAME ( WITH THE NEW GRAPHICS ) dont seperate it - just make it ONE game. - I would pay a *****load for that!
I want a Sonic Adventure 2 port for PSP.
Why not make make a new Sonic2/3-like on psp? Keeping the good old 2D move stuff, but adding 3D rendering, as with psp's Ultimate Ghosts'n Goblins!
I am in total agreement that would be amazing a 3D side scroller .... I'd buy it straight up.

is that wat u mean? do wat mario did? like for the DS super mario bros 64 or something like that.... 3d but still same ol style gameplay? except for sonic.... that would be nice.... i like wat nintendo did with the mario games so far.. they extended it and made the mario games keep itself within its limits.... him, a plumber / saving peach all the time... adventure game..... 2d for a long time.... mario has never reached past its limits and i dont think any of the mario games have been bad yet.... they should keep it that way with sonic..... the races arent bad... but i would like to mix it up with the classics..... wat they coulda done was create a adventure system just like sonic games for the genesis and then boss battle.... then eggman/ robotnik escapes soooo u race within a time limit... or something.... then finish the boss fight out.... ^^^^ that retains the racing with adventure and GOOD boss battles and all the same.... to me that idea kinda works out.... or maybe just leave out the racing and make the racing a EXTRA option for the game.... just my input....^^
i liked sonic rivals but with a lack of story like all the new ones, the originals kicked serious ass compared to any of the new games. Also use actual video cutscenes instead of that *****ty one sound text dialouge. (like sonic batlle for example.) Peopl always say the psp cant handle it. Hmm no they're just stupid and or greedy. SEGA please redeem the SONIC franchise to its former glory. In this case sonic rivals 2 better have more kick ass visuals and gameplay that shatters every sonic game known to man. I seriously doubt that will happen, but one can still hope.
