Oblivion for the PSP - Image 1 We've seen a number of delays and rumors (believe us, there are lots of them) related to Bethesda Softworks' The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion and unfortunately, we've got another one.

A couple of days back, Kotaku reported a rumor that Oblivion for the PlayStation Portable has gathered dust (read: delayed might be an understatement). Kotaku ventured to report that the video game might even put on the vaporware bin. The GameStop placeholder for the title still snugly shows an approximate ETA of December though.

Of course, you'd want to know why there's another rumored delay. Actually, the explanation has an eerie resemblance to a rumor mosaic: Rumored Oblivion PSP developer Climax Studios' Portsmouth team are rumored to be having loads of problems with production, hence the rumored delay.

There's enough rumor in there to fuel a giant rumor mill of delay (like here, here, here, and here). Anyway, we'll leave it at that and be on the look out for more news regarding the The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion. Stay tuned.

These rumors are quite true. There's a lot of production problems happening internally. IF the game ever does see a release, it'll be a twisted shell of what it was supposed to be. The game is so broken currently it's not funny.

Maybe they should do like a total rewrite of it.

I know it'd take a LONG time but I'd wait for Oblivion PSP.

I'v never played oblivion before, I read in, I think it was

playstation magazine that this game was nothing like its console counterpart, It was going to be a First Person game. Seriously.

I for one wanted a realy cool RPG game like the PS3 version.

First of all, OBLIVION is a first person game lmao [@above post]

Second, its NORMAL for games to be pushed back due to issues. duh. and an in depth game like oblivion on psp would be just that. also, this is NOT the oblivion you played on PC/360/PS3, this has ALL the same features, just focused mroe on DUNGEON CRAWLING instead of outside by the mountains and fields venturing. thats fine with me. the longer the game takes to come out, the better and error free it will be. its just the programers have to take all they know of the big consoles and slim it down and make it work under less specs and stats. no issue, just keep on truckin.

Oblivion on psp will be the psp's biggest hit game if they ever do release it.
