Subtle, cryptic, but downright exciting. While there isn't much news on a Western version of Nippon-Ichi Software's wildly popular Disgaea title, there is a chance we'll be seeing a saga of string-bean overlords, air-headed angels, and exploding penguins hit the PSP. This speculation comes straight from blackIceJoe, a GameSpot forum member who mailed NIS America regarding the matter. Here was the enclosed reply:Dear Joe,

As for Disgaea PSP, We unfortunately cannot release much information about Disgaea yet... but we can tell you to look forward to it. We hope this will give you some sort of idea.
As for the Europe version, we do not have any information about it at this point, but we believe it will be coming out in Europe. Please check back with us within a few months to see if we have further information on the Europe version.

We'll consider this our cue to wait for any extra news NIS has to offer. Besides - given just how popular the series has proven to be in Japan on both consoles (PSP and PS2), it would just be overlordly diabolical to not make a US release. For now, we'll just have to return to trolling YouTube to reminisce the game's kooky commercials, or perhaps go the way of the Super Robot Wars fans - a Play-Asia import in one hand, a translated game script in the other...
