Ridge Racers 2 deal - Image 1We know racing video game Ridge Racer 2 for PSP has been out for a while now but we figured some of you might be interested to know that online retail store PC World UK is currently offering the title for 0.97 GBP. Yep, that's not a typo and that roughly translates to US$ 1.91.

The title was developed by Namco Bandai. In case you've forgotten already, we listed down some of Ridge Racer 2's features. The Read link below, lastly, takes you to PC World's product page.

This was bullcrap when PSP Fanboy posted it hours ago, and just as much bullcrap now! You news reporters need to check your news before publishing it.

To summarise the situation - this item is marked STORE PICKUP ONLY so the postage is IRRELEVANT. Also, NO STORES EVER HAD STOCK! I checked the moment it was on PSP Fanboy.

POST USEFUL NEWS.

He did go to the store... it was out of stock, and the stores haven't been in stock... He meant that telling us the shipping information was useless because you cant buy it online (aka you have to go to the store.) Stop reiterating people's correct statements, and saying they are wrong. It just makes you look (even more) stupid.

Stop oaning people, nothing wrong with what he wrote there, he did not say it was available for dleivery, he just quoted the usual price and then went on to say you can order online and will have to pick it up instore. It aint his fault either if you cant find it in any of the shops either, deal with it !

The simple fact is, PC World advertise this item at such a price, but never actually hold it in stock in any of their stores. The idea being, people won't bother to check availability, and will go into the stores. When they can't buy the game, they'll buy something else instead, obviously, at a higher price.

Mate, just an advice. Be careful when working at PCWorld and using tempting discounts and other privileges, especially with items not in display, enough stock or on offer.

Don't race against your fellow members of staff for items on offer, never leave any item(s) reserved to pay for another day, coz eventually your colleagues WILL get pissed off and make sure it's your one-way ticket out of employment.

Trust me, I'm saving your ass from the rapists at PCWorld.

pcworld...you do know that in the UK in retail special offers like this are planned months in advance and the stores participating are told at least a week before the offer begins.

# Why in bucks?Guest 2007-06-15 12:15
Obviously American users are not going to care about an offer in the UK, so why isn't the article title in pence/pounds instead of 'bucks'?
