Rainbow Islands Evolution: screens and logo |
Ó
Bub and Bob's back on a new adventure as they, along with the rest of Rainbow Islands, get a major modern overhaul/makeover. This time, they battle an evil record company that has killed the flora and turned the fauna into rabid killing machines. Now the duo goes out to fight the company's seven bosses to stop their dastardly plans.
This resurrected Taito classic is the third title in Rising Star's Evolution series which included co-resurectees Space Invaders and Bubble Bobble. Rainbow Islands Evolution is set for release in Q1. For now, we'll hope these screens can tide us over while we wait for the official release date - or the game itself.

This looks a little too wired for me.
sigh
Rainbow islands... belonds in the 90s with 2d pixel graphics, not this awful attempt on 3D :/ - Ive seen better graphics on my friends (VERY) old PC.
I know graphics arent important and I'm all for gameplay.. but I doubt this will capture any of the charm of the original :/
*sigh*
Was really looking forward to this and Bubble Bobble Evolution as I love the originals (still play them). But after trying out BBE, I don't have high hopes for this. The "feeling" of the games are totally gone, feels like some bland, average freeware-game...
Too bad, cause these could have rocked in capable hands! Seems Taito is loosing their touch... :(
this is yet another attempt to quickly port a previously succesful game to the psp and try to sell it off as a good game.. crappy!
***** me that brings back childhood memories of the amiga 500
