it's totally fake, the firmware hack on the 360 does not allow you to run unsigned code. you can only boot unmodified raw backups. also, the guy sux at trying to fake it, it's obvious he just put a video of someone switching back and forth between blades in the dashboard on his psp and is just trying to push the buttons as the video flips back and forth, which he's sorta clumsy at. I'm so sick of these idiots getting news coverage
it is..pretty bad attempt..i wish the people who host news would take a closer look and analyze it more. I really appreciate all they do, but when you get all this fake stuff up on PSPU, it gets kind of annoying.

yes, this is definately fake, not onyl cuz its done like crap buit also the video doesnt even show the PSP "controlling" the 360 at all. It shows the 360 interfeace on the PSP. WHich means the PSP and the 360 set up a connection and the 360 sent its interface over to the PSP? no, it wouldnt be compatible.
also, the PSP CANNOT and WILL NOT control anythign thru USB, EVER! it has simply a slave chip that is sent straight to the memory stick for file transfer for version 1.5. On 2.7, it has soemk libs allowing it to acdept controls from another evice, but Im pretty dure it cannot give commands to an external device, It cannot be done.

YOu could change the gameboot or game loading sound with this homebrew program. I haven;'t use it for awhile, but I did my little psp with a Xbox 360 boot sound when ever he turn on his psp from shutdown. Its really good. For the gameboot animations is kinda hard to do. but you could add some intro animations from a game to load the boot loading part like Naruto boot loading and some other stuff. I can't wait to get that mod chip so I could do custom firmware soon and do this method, I update my psp just to play some 2.60 firmware require games.
well right now im pretty sure you could view your 360 interface on your psp but not controlling ti because couldnt you use the homebrew that sneds tv singal to your psp but instead of tv send the 360 interface

when the camera moves, there's a huge possibility to quickly change the psp over to the Video mode and run a video recorded from the 360's menu
also, as mentioned before, the memory stick light is covered, which is "strange"

Come on, it is surely a fake. And it would be more convincing, if he would put PSP controls on hold and really press d-pad buttons (not just air press them).
His fingers and screen are not synchronized well. He could at least practice those timings before recording himself.
Well, the video might be Dutch, or the producers at least. Cuz I remember this backgroundsound very clearly from the series of 'Bassie en Adriaan' (a dutch series for children). Also because of previous fakings were done by Dutch people like the 'Ipod Video Widescreen' picture you might know, (which most people thought to be true, unlike this one). This was made with photo-editting software with Dutch menu's etc.

its not possible..
the usb connection is not made to deliver or recieve video signals...
on either the 360 or the psp, the psp is just merely a way to connect the psp to a computer or other device alloing the device to access the data on the memory card...
and its simular on the 360 altough it allows you to do a little more, but it still wouldnt output any video signals..

Ok you see when he zooms in to the 360 it has one controller plugged in. Maybe he got someone to switch the controller to the media blade and select the pictures. Then they select a very high res pic of System intiallized. like people said the timeing is wrong and it loks like the guy was trying to push pin the edges into the psp screen with an editing tool. You also see the camera shake at one point could this be that the person he asked to help didn't know where to look? or could it have been him struggling to hold a camera and a controller? Just have to think. If i still had my psp i bet i could make a similar and probably better fake.

He seemed to move from the PSP to X360 awfully quick without showing the wire linking the two, and it isn't really possible to do.
I have controlled my 360 with my psp before with some remote codes and the infared port. I know that its possible to do it so im going to stay neutral on this.
IRShell has plenty of XBox 360 control codes through infrared, but I'm really tired of explaining why this and the projector thing about two days back will not be possible for use currently due to sony controlling the codes and it would require updated firmware. (This one is even worse because not even the xbox 360 could perform that on its end).

When the PSP's screen shows the various blades of the 360 dash, the buttons he presses on the PSP are completely unrelated to what's happening on the screen. I mean... he doesn't press *anything*, or he presses the *up* button, and it'll move to the left. Come on, man... you can do better than that!
It is fake. Watch the video, the video jumps (or skips, whichever you prefer) when the actual program is supposed to load.

this isnt even remotely possible because the xbox360 doesnt give out video from the usb ports! and even if it did, the PSP WOULDNT TAKE THEM! cause it's just 2 very incompatible things. I can't think of a single thing that uses usb to stream video. This is bull.

clearly a fake for so many reasons. the usb (as said before) isnt really interfaced to the psp itself, just the ms reader. video throo usb would require some heavy duty hacking 360 side which just aint possible, not that the psp could receive it. if he used wifi itd be more beleiveable but still not 100%
as for "***** the 360 its all about the ps3."... erm, cant really hack a console that doesnt even exist yet can you? the ps3 will let u do this for real, as does the psx. just that theres a nice 2-3 second lag.
the only time this app would be useful would be on wifi and then the lag associated with it makes it worthless. not only a clear fake, but even if it wasnt, itd be useless.

I dont want to change my game boot because I like my psp way too much to modify the flash so harshly, I have downgraded and changed my silver background to black but thats it, you need to draw a line somewhere.

ok...do you own a psp, when an eboot starts up, it just goes to the gameboot splash screen, and then the eboot starts up, why would you add the exact same play symbol found when you play a video on the psp? huh?

Alright guys. I'm going to clear things up.
1. The 'key pressing sync problem'. There is no key sync problem, as i was now fake-pressing. There is simply currently alot of delay with the buttons, so i need to fix that up.
2. The play button you find at the bottom corner is there, beacause the PSP360 exploit accesses a flaw in the MP_ROOT section of the PSP, wich allows is to run unsigned code.

You had the TV on the SYSTEM INITIALIZED screen from the very begining (before you even pluged the psp into the 360)

I circled the part where the reflection of the TV gets caught in the PSPs screen, you can make out the end of INITIALIZED in it.
So why was the system initialized screen on the TV before you started the hombrew?

i was a couple of seconds off on my timing...let me correct myself
(1st represents when i first saw it...the number after that is the time on the player)
1st- 0:33 to 0:41 (this one is easy to see...its the whole t.v image)
2nd- 0:52 (upper right hand coner of the psp screen)
3rd- 0:55 (again the upper right hand coner of the psp screen)
what u will see is the reflected image of the t.v....its the "System Inialized" screen buts its on the t.v way before he boots up the application...

Well, if you think about it, it was kinda fun pointing out all the cool mistakes made in the video i.e.
-reflection of the 'system initialized' screen before it started
-memory stick light being blocked out, play symbol clearly visible
-impossibility of the whole idea in the first place
-video is a zoomed in 4:3 image rather than original 16:9 of the xbox360's.
-most gamers are nerds and like to do stuff like that.

i have done this before using the infared functions on IRSHELL just download the pronto hex codes file from www.ahman.co.nr and put them in the ir code directory and boot irshell then go to xbox 360 and boom you can controll the dash altho its not 100% working but works good for dvd playbak
