It's not just the body that had a major makeover. The PSP2's interface has also been revamped, to make its makeover complete. As to whether or not it's an improved version, it's up to you to decide.

One of the more striking changes you'll notice when you fire up the new PSP2 is that Sony has revamped the interface design completely. No longer will you see the classic XMB, which requires you to move row to row, up and down, just to make your selection for.

I suggest to watch it in motion to truly judge it.

That was the beauty of the XMB: its simplicity. I'd rather flick my finger to navigate the XMB rather than this bubble icon crap!
I just thought: what if what we're looking at here is a sort of "desktop" style theme with icons...and I can't help but wonder what they've got in mind with that back-side Touch Pad!!! I got a big boner for this! Can't wait! This 'd be a great opportunity for Geohots to get revenge on Sony for the restraining order...crack this baby quick please!

So to me this is not "NEW!" but actually "old"
I disapprove of this UI
